Carlos shot was unstoppable, no goalkeeper in the world would have read such a curve (inswinger), truly the number 1 free-kick goal in soccer history to this date.

Of course, there are more. The goal Serrizuela scored for San Lorenzo against Independiente en 2002 had more curve than Roberto Carlos´.

OEMUFC I'm sure at least a free kick by Del Piero, Pirlo or Juninho could be included in this top 20. There are 4 gol by CR7 and, in my opinion, none of them deserve. +W. Werion It's physics mate. The ball is turning around itself in one way, so the air is faster on one side than on the other. That creates the force that makes the ball coming back into the goal

+W. Werion In Brazil we call it Trivela. That's not a difficult shot cuz one day i saw a guy doing it when i was playing at the beach. The trick consists on kicking the ball with the outer part of your foot, i mean, using the pinky toe and more two ones (i don't know the name of toes in english). Then, as Bayann said, the ball goes spinning, and the pressure of the air around it gets unstable, causing the ball to change its direction.

CR7skihi Yeah you're right about that indeed. But I personally would've chosen some Pirlo freekicks over some of the ones chosen in the video. I even don't think the one with Messi is his best one. I'd rather pick the one against RM or against Sevilla which broke the LIGA goals record. But yeah, my preference
