Neither the movie nor the Netflix shows how sassy she was. They show how friendly and goofy she was, but Selena had Beyoncé level fierceness before there was Beyoncé and they never really show it. At least in my opinion.

I had the honor of meeting her. She came to my Tia’s house and ate menudo with us. (Her dad and my god father are good friends). She was the coolest, most down to earth celebrity I’ve ever met. As beautiful inside as she was on the outside. You’d forget she was a grammy award winning singer. She was more that an icon. There will NEVER be another Selena.

That message from Angel Ramirez, Jr (Barrio Boyzz) was so cool and true to what he said about Selena. She was truly humble and genuine and she would have probably also contacted you to give her thanks. Regarding the song "Que Creias", she would do a similar scenario with an invited guest from the audience. she used to say that this was her free advise to the ladies in the house. "I'm gonna show you, for one night only, on how to tell your man off, when he is doing you wrong", she used to say. The poor guys were always very shy and embarrassed, but of course they knew what they were getting into because this was customary every time she performed the song. lol

I was there that night. It was in my home town in Midland Tx. I’ve seen her about 15 times. She was in West Texas at least 1 time a month. I’ve spoken with her like a long time friend, she has signed all of my Selena cassettes, signed My Coca Cola shirt, and I actually got to kiss her on the left cheek at a car show In Odessa ,Tx after her performance as she closed the show. Of course Abraham gave me permission do so. Lol

I was about to write the same thing! I was on a mission at 9 to find all Selena Albums I could buy (we all Selena in the house so mom & dad would get them, in fact my dad borrowed one then let his friend borrow it... and he lost it. We were both super pissed). I always wondered since hearing that what happened to them. I might be wrong but I think they preformed at a farewell concert for her shortly after her death, maybe before or after the wake, sorry I'm scatter brained today🙃. Jamal should, that would be dope. Yasss me to! I listened to the Barrio boyzz as a teen, and I still remember till this day the very first time I saw them for the PR parade in the Bronx. At the time I didn't know who they were, but their float stop right in front of me and they started to dance and I heard there voices. I was a fan from there on.

I saw SELENA Y LOS DINOS 3x and to this day out of more then 300+ concerts, this Group is in my Top 3 all time most impressive Concerts I've ever been to. I saw her group when she was about 14 or 15, I got her and her Sisters Autograph then I saw her at Colorado State Fair 6 months before her Passing. 🎼🎼🎼🎼 Master Musicians.😎🤘

Been to many Selena shows when I was younger, San Antonio, Houston and Ft. Worth she always pulled a random guy up to the stage to play the ex. It was awesome, she always had the same energy when she would sing to them and you felt every word.

This video was taken very close to where I live in Odessa/Midland Tx. I grew up on Selena, and I’m still such a huge fan of hers. She would even perform in my town back in the 80’s. She’s our Texas Queen, and she will never ever be forgotten! And thank you for all the awesome reactions.

This was my very first concert. It was in Midland, Tx in the summer of '94 at Christensen baseball stadium. I was in the front row center. She touched my hand through the baseball net. My parents score those tickets because there employers at the time were sponsoring the concert. It was sold out. She was incredible!

According to SELENA in an interview she was still going to be singing with her family's band occasionally after she had done her crossover. Of course after she passed away the band ended for good.

I was in Midland at this concert!! My dad took my family & my best friend. It was Don’s first night onstage as a backup singer & dancer. Such a great & special night for us. Jamel, my wife and I love watching your videos. You're doing what this society needs more of - individuals willing to experience this country's rich diversity and celebrating it. Your doing it through music and it is so awesome (entertaining, funny, inspiring). I've often said, 'look at your playlist and it will tell you a lot about your efforts to celebrate our differences.' In the end, it starts inside each one of us to explore outside our comfort zones that all too often is not representative of all of God's children.

Um, first off congrats on the insta from Angel, that is so fricken cool! This is def. one of my favorite performances of que creías, that guy was a good sport. I wonder if he ever watches this video and is like, wow, I got handled by Selena! hehe. La Carcacha Live at Programa En Vivo Con Ricardo Rocha is another favorite performance. There is so much flavor, you won't be dissapointed.

That is so awesome dude!! To get a message like that?! 😲 I love watching your reactions to one of the most talented women that ever existed and still has a huge impact on many generations. I love that she breaks so many language barriers. You didn't need to speak the same language as she did to love her, and have a connection to her music and talent. I was blessed and lucky to grow up in a Mexican American household so I know both languages, but you didn't need that to know how awesome of a person she was 😊
