Nice Video and honest review Jay. I just wanted to point out couple of facts : Pricing, it looks like NF is more expensive than NL when you look at Canadian prices, but actually is not . Canadian price of 2.5 kg NF $64.99 - $69.99 and 2kg NL 69.99 - 89.99. Regarding availability in USA, yes it's a pity but hey no new product specially fish food appeared everywhere overnight. With Big Al's coming aboard and another USA distributor already in place NF should be easily reachable to anyone in USA . Also price for USA should be at par or better comparing to NL. The clay it's not only used in NF and DN there are way more products that use it with the great success and is there for beneficial reason. Overall what it matters that NF formulation makes the difference in the positive direction , it may look the same it may sound the same but I can assure you NF is completely different. Having similar ingredients does not make the product the same, formulation, ratio and manufacturing process will be the major factor in the final product. Having 20+ years experience in process/R&D and food industry I was able to create the process to manufacture fish food in more advance technology also having our own manufacturing facility I have full control from starting point to final product and that's what's matters most. Darius Chodocinskas I won't take that away from NF it is a great product and I am sure the ingredients and process is top notch. When it comes down to it can do an prices or not I have to pay for shipping. That is something I do not have to do with the other food currently. This is by far a top notch food and def competes on all levels with NLS. I still want the veggie and krill gold and will continue to feed it. You have a gem going here Darius and I wish you all the luck and success.

I started feeding my Mbuna Northfin veggie and their fins are so bright and colorful it's unreal. I'm hooked. Sorry fish.

apart from bug pro which my fish go insane for they wont eat northfin cichlid or krill ...they take it and just spit it out ...my main foods are nls thera a and bug pro

Nice video Jay, have you ever fed your fish Xtreme? I wanted to switch from NLS and i finally decided with Xtreme. Northfin was a choice for me since im in Canada but like you said they have not been in the market that long. Since iv been feeding my fish Xtreme they have grown and colored up so much. Thats my two cents..

What's up Jay. I've always fed NLS 1mm pellet to my 4 to 5 inch peacocks and haps. I recently decided to try some Northfin because some of my fish are looking a little thin. I got a bag of the 3mm cichlid formula and when I fed I had a few new fish that hadn't really settled in yet, one being my new OB red empress, he began breathing heavy, his belly swelled wouldn't eat for the next few days. I removed him from the tank and he later died. Anyhow, I believe it was my fault for going straight from the 1mm NLS to a 3mm Northfin pellet. I was then leary of the Northfin even though I believe it was my fault for feeding such a large pellet. A week or so later I decided to treat some food with seachem metro and focus. I noticed that the Northfin food would absorb the medication better so I went out and got a bag of Northfin 2mm and the fish have been doing well on it even with it soaked in meds and no garlic guard. Some dont seem to like it due to size or whatever reason so I have been feeding a 1mm NLS hex shield along with the Northfin mediated food. So my question is how should I go about fully transitioning everyone to Northfin because like everyone says I've noticed less clouding in the tank. Not necessarily at the time of feeding (worse) but hours later the Northfin clouds less. I've even tried giving the 2mm pellet with no meds on it and some love it and some spit it. Lol. Any recommendations? I though about maybe trying the Northfin 1mm to see if it's just the size that some dont like. Thanks for any input

I purchased NLS, prior to research. It appears that most people like Northfinn so now I'm thinking about switching, but I don't want to waste the NLS. Can I use both to mix it up? Will doing this harm the fish?

BigAls website (Canadian one) sells Northfin cheaper than NLS. Wouldn't you say Northfin is what I should get?

Regarding new life spectrum all purpose formula is the seal supposed to just come right off when I take off the lid ? Half of the seal came right off or is it a sign that the food was tampered with maybe exchanged for some cheap alternative

I like my NorthFin food I live in Canada and it is easy to purchase. It is still a real expensive food but i feel it is a great product and i endorse it. I make my own food for most of their meals but NorthFin is my only other option. Great video Jay

I feed NLS and my Peacocks and haps are stunning!!! Colors and fins are beautiful. Never tried NF though...I also own 6 of Pablo Teapots (creator of NLS) Peacocks & Haps...I see the evidence with NLS
