I' m sure I'm not the only person in the planet to say this or feel this way...but Jeff Buckley's album Grace quite literally saved my life . Life doesn't always go the way we truly would like it to go and life and mental health totally fell apart in 1999 ,baby died at 6 months gestation ,I got MS and I had to leave the love of my life ( my husband) after his love for Class A' s far exceeded his love for me..I.even had to give up my job working in mental health ..I lost the lot in just 6 months and tried to take my own life 17 th Oct 99 ...When I eventually came to after an overdose in an empty house ( husband had sold everything to buy more cocaine) the only thing I had left was my darling cats ,my record player and some vinyl ,I put the album Grace on and played it over and over again & just cried...I cried because I realised how fucking stupid I' d been and the sheer beauty of Jeff's music was better than any hug I do desperately needed . To this day some 22 yrs later my eyes well up when I listen to it...my life is still lonely ,still miss my ex-wife husband..miss the many great years we had ,but music really can heal the soul and I will always be grateful to Jeff ,what a truly beautiful man he was .

I just find myself sitting here and staring at him, Thinking what a sweet soul, what a hurt soul, what beautiful words and expressions. I strive to be a musician like him in all honesty no one can, no one can take what Jeff does and top it. Jeff is the most talented musician iv ever heard from his voice to his unique playing skills. I wish I could have met him. I'm only 17 years old and yet I feel I have so much In common with him I never knew my dad, My dad died at 30 when I was 9, I grew up in a musical house hold. I just wish I could have met him.

Living in France, I had the chance to see Jeff in concert. He has an exceptional voice that walks through the air like a bird that has no limits and that touches you straight to the heart with his sensitivity. I have never heard a singer or a human being in my life with such a vocal ability. This is one of the things I have never seen or heard !!!!!!!!!!! He remained for me forever a star. I’ve graduated high school recently around June 30th and I feel like I have so many questions that have been left unanswered. I’m just going to say, Lover you should’ve come over is the song that I have been listening to on repeat. I began listening to Buckley last year around this time of year. I was obsessed with Last Goodbye. Then I decided to truly listen to his other pieces of art. By far, I believe Lover you Should’ve Come Over is the best song he’s written. This song is just beautiful. I wish I was a better person and actually show care for the person who did before I lost them.
