Күн бұрынLooks like I'm finally figuring a way around the Judgement Six's sinister bots that are trying to silence my lore videos. Please enjoy all of the VF lore series, as the first eight (and so far only eight) episodes are once again accessible to the fans! That's mariner's power!!!
Well, it looks like I didn't get this out in time for new years but here it is all the same. With movies like Aquaman crushing it in the box office, mariners seem more relevant these days than they used to be. This entry of Virtua Fighter Lore will feature Jeffry Mcwild, one of the most entertaining character's in the entirety of the series. Join Segalacious as he analyzes Jeffry's considerable attractiveness, character design, influence, story-line, and some of his most unstoppable fighting moves. Let's get into it!

Jeffry is a BEAST. A mountain of strength, personality and attractiveness, he's one of my favorite characters to this day, and my eternal VF main. I love him more than I can properly express. Great video!

I like how strong Jeffry is and he’s a pretty fun character to play as. I was lucky I was even able to beat VF2 again using him ( I still couldn’t beat Dural though ).

He was much handsomer in vf1-3. He looked intimidating in vf4 and flat ugly in vf5 lol

@@VirtuaBros I don't know why VF5 couldn't get any of the none Asian characters correct . Jacky,Brad and Lion looked fine , El blaze had a mask , Sarah looked wonky , Jeffrey looked ugly and and they just plain butchered Vanessa.

shoriyu Ken VF5 characters don't look so bad in the renders but ingame they're absolutely ugly! At least vanilla 5 and R did a good job at hiding imperfections with their lighting full of shadows but characters just look terrible in FS you can see all their imperfections. Especially Jeffry. Overall VF4 had a far better character designs.

I wish for the series to be the second 3D fighter that brings an actual boxer. Pankration blends boxing and wrestling, with kicks, elbow, and knee strikes. Preferably a woman since Virtua Fighter needs more lady fighters.

I think the closest we got to that is Brad Burns. He's a kick boxer though. I wonder how a no kicking style would mesh in the VF system...

@@VirtuaBros Brad is a Thai-style boxer. Muay Thai and kickboxing are two different martial arts. Hopefully, AM-2 can figure a use for the kick button.

@@6arcsn1sky that's true his style is Muay Thai. It's a bit confusing because in the lore he is a kickboxer that uses Muay Thai. That always mixes me up.

I find really cool the references Jeffry's character tooks from Billy Williams. Beside, like his natural spontaneous behavior and his humoristic grunpy attitude, but i find his story a bit lazy and not that that interesting to be honest. His character slot deserves to have a more complexe story telling quality for VF6. The good thing is, if he has to be replaced because the next game will take place in a time more advanced. as a family man, he already have a potential successor (his son) for a potential reboot of the franchise.

Well according to the lore Kage and Akira are the only two in that list who have actually won the WFT.

@@VirtuaBros just wondering since it's somewhat hard to tell . Lau is strong but old, Kage and Akira seem to be neck and neck but Akira has lost a good couple of times , Pai is definitely stronger than Lei fei and impressed her father but that only means she's finally catching up to where everyone would have thought she was ,Jacky and Sarah have never been 100% there mentally and weren't in it to win it as much as they were after each other , Brad is undefeated in his sport but clearly hasn't one the wft yet, Aoi clearly just has bad luck and keeps having to fight a guy she has a bad match up against in the first round despite seemingly being tough against anyone else and growing up sparing with Akira , Shun is old , Jeffrey is crazy ,Lion only wants to save Jean , and so on .

@@shoriyuken9483 I think that anyone strong enough to enter the WFT is strong enough to win it. There are multiple factors, including luck, that play a role in winning contest, even in a tournament as competitive as this one. I think writing off Lei Fei as weaker than Pai may be a mistake since she interfered in a fight between he and Lau. Lei may not have been fresh for the fight or mentally prepared to fight Pai as he was focused on defeating Lau who was succumbing to his illness during the battle. I'm not sure it's really that clear cut concerning who is the strongest, it's definitely a complicated question with no straight forward answer.

@@VirtuaBros yeah that's true . It's hard not to go into questioning who's stronger but truth be told VF not have so much of that power scaling nonsense is like Tekken and street fighter is one of the things I like about it.

I am going to return to the vf lore series as soon as I can. Possibly this summer God willing. Eventually I will get to all the characters.

@@VirtuaBros with Goh you can really tell just from his moves he's trying to kill you by attacking with deadly force as opposed to someone like Akira. I know he's an assassin but his moves really do sell that aspect of him.
