I always felt this movie didn't get enough love. Megan Fox performs well with what she's given and Amanda Seyfried is solid as Needy.

It was horribly miss marketed. It turned into a cult classic of sorts and looked back on quite a bit. Megan fox and the director or creator got together for this interview thing a few years ago and talked about it all too. They literally thought because it was Megan fox that they should market it to “bros”. It made no sense and was horrible for the movie.

I will never not be mad about the horrible marketing campaign of this movie that contributed to its mixed reception. They just tried to capitalize on Megan Fox to appeal to horny men and teenage boys without even bothering to realize that it just wasn’t that kind of movie 😭 love this review, thank you!

This movie had heart and such a good balance of comedy and horror. It really had its own thing going on and did it soo well. There’s been so many movies to try and do the same exact thing with half the heart and quality and even got more accolade. This movie is honestly a gem.

"School is very understanding about losing ones classmates, but they still don't get the day off." Might be unrelated, but as I was playing Persona Reload, I noticed that every time some traumatic or life changing happens. everyone still goes to school the next day. I kept on thinking, (spoilers) "Okay, someone died! You really not going to take the day off??" or "Everyone knows they going to die soon and still go to school the next day? The hell???"

It’s set near Minnesota, so eh? That’s just how the midwestern folks treat a tragedy, casserole or hot dishes to the bereaved and everyone else just gets to talk about it later after the funeral. The movie heathers sums up the situation perfectly.

@@Irish381 Dang. Sounds kind of messed up though for those who are grieving someone they lost and then it's, "Welp, still gotta go to school/job." Doesn't sound a healthy way to do this. But I might check out the movie you mentioned.

Yeah, it’s just the social norm, when you live in a region where people die in hunting accidents, drown falling through thin ice, or worse… after a couple decades of being from part of Pennsylvania where the mining industry was responsible for more deaths than any other occupation. I left and joined the MARINES. After returning home, the same almost callous attitude was the same as when I left. Pretty certain that Diablo Cody was influenced by the same attitude towards life in the Midwest. @@KirbyIsCute

I didn't like this movie when I first saw it close to release but I've kinda come around on it, even if some of the dialogue is a little too... Diablo Cody, but I get that's part of the point of the movie.

The movie kinda reminded me of "Bad Girls of Valley High", a comedy/horror movie with an ending that totally didn't go where you thought it would be going. I was actually able to see "Teeth", I think it's still on TUBI.

I was never interested in seeing this movie, but thanks to your review, I now want to see it! Didn't get the scissor reference the first time. It took the second reference and you getting konked on the head with the rolling pin for me to get it! 3:49 Did you consider using the theme from that Daily Wire Snow White film for this scene? Or would that have gone too far?

I saw this movie in theatres, and it was truly electrifying the audience at the time. Not since Scream did I feel a kinetic script so fun to sit through, and it further bent that trope by including some pretty seriously black evil elements to it. It was one of the lighter Rated R's I've seen, but I'm at least glad that it didn't fall into a 'Go for the PG13' crowd by cutting out all of the gore and foul language.

The OZ music 🎶 intercut with the visuals was too much 😆😆😆also you forgot to include the actor who voices Patrick Starfish. It was a ok movie but really was just using Megan Fox’s sensuality for baiting horny guys into buying the DVD unrated. Expecting more nudity and only getting a far more confusing horror film than they bargained for.

Jennifer reminds me of the girl that hung out with me from elementary to high school; she was the striving popular girl and I was the loser friend. I feel like she was with me more to look better around peers. Jennifer is the same person to me for sure. It’s not about loyalty it’s about looking the best. 😂

This movie is top level smart horror and a fantastic story about the intricacies and love-hate energy of high school female friendships. I enjoy it more with every viewing. If nothing else it proved that given good material Megan Fox is a talented actor.

Add me to the ranks of those who can't get into it because of Cody's writing style. I'm fine with stylized. Just not her style. I grew up on Joss Whedon so you'd think I'd have a tolerance for her, but for whatever reason I don't.
