Too me I don't think the Starkiller "clone" is not really a clone, even if they have differences in combat. I mean remember what Carth said in Kotor 1? "They say the force can do terrible things to a person's mind, it can wipe away your memories and destroy your very identity." That's what I believe with this new starkiller, it's the same as what happened to Revan.

Even though I Starkiller is my favorite for various reasons, I can't help but agree with the logic you used. I've seen a few of your vids but after this I'm a subscriber. Glad there's other people like you and myself who enjoy Star Wars to this level of thinking. I wish I could talk with you in person about various Star Wars topics, none of my friends delve into it as much as me and my gf has only seen the prequels yet want's to see the original trilogy.

I'd have to say that while I agree with just about everything you say, I think you underestimate Starkiller in the very regard you pointed out, he has the physical endurance and tenacity that Exar Kun never had. I agree with your point that that Exar Kun is more diverse, but I don't think he would quite know how to deal with somebody who could take as much punishment as Starkiller could. And while yes, Starkiller never defeated his master, he did however come up with a plan, on the spot mind you, to force the stalemate. He could potentially do the same here. So yes, I do think Exar Kun would PROBABLY win but let's point out a few things here: 1) Exar Kun winning would be very, very close, like a 51-49 close. 2) Exar Kun's own defenses as you pointed out are spotty and one lucky shot could turn everything around for Starkiller. 3) Even if he does win, there is no way in hell he is going to just walk away calmly from the fight. He will be battered, bloody and broken. It's more likely imo he would be crawling and barely clinging to life by the time he was done getting thrashed by Starkiller.

Also, you do realize you write off some things Starkiller does as a simple game mechanic, but then use game mechanics to justify why he can't do something else. For instance, Force Shields. He doesn't automatically defend himself in the game because you'd be invincible playing as him...

Why did you match their blade styles up against one another, but totally ignore the fact that Starkiller's entire style revolves around integrating his force abilities into combat? You even brought it up a short time beforehand. And the fact of it's predictability doesn't change how much power it contains. The capability to see a punch coming doesn't indicate the ability to stop it. I also noticed you didn't seem to use anything besides games, and when it comes right down to it, there's a hell of a lot of game mechanics when it comes to the enemy's ability to knock a character over. That seemed to be a bit of an oversight on your part. And while you argue that Exar Kun would be able to see through anything Starkiller does, all of his combos and anything Starkiller brings together isn't something Exar Kun regularly fights. And while you state it's heavily implied, that's implied, not confirmed. You seem to rely on a lot on situational feats and abilities.

Agree 100% with this outcome. This is one of the most accurate and well done versus series videos I've seen. Exar Kun no doubt would crush starkiller if it came to it. More likely though, he'd turn him into his apprentice or try and manipulate him in some way. But if it came to blows, Exar Kun, one of the most powerful beings to ever live would turn him into one of his darkside monster slaves. Preform alchemy and sorcery on him to transform him to preform his masters bidding. Much like if starkiller fought the emperor. The emperor would best him and turn him into his personal assassin, twisted with cybernetics and the dark side. Like the alternate ending to the game when Palpatine turned him into a sith stalker. Starkiller could never challenge the actual dark lord of the sith. Whomever he may be. Whether it's Naga Sadow, exar kun, freedon nadd, emperor vitiate, darth bane, Palpatine, etc.

Antares Draco vs Starkiller (clone): I find this match up particularly interesting because they are as similar as they are different: both are madly in love with a woman in the midst of a war, but where Starkiller is a lone Wolf type who only helps the rebels to find Juno Draco is deeply invested in his faction and is in fact a major leader. like starkiller Draco is also an all purpose fighter, yet unlike starkiller is also a seasoned duelist. I believe that while Draco is less powerful in the force his tactics/experience and raw utility in lightsaber combat evens the odds. Draco has faced many low level sith similar to the imperial shadow guards starkiller faces and I view them as being a similar match to Anakin Vs Obi Wan( Anakin/Starkiller is more power in the force and a complete master of his skill set, where Obi Wan/Draco bridges the gap with superior experience and a more layered martial knowledge.) Plus while both are highly athletic and skilled tacticians Unlike the aforementioned duelists, both of these men are emotionally unstable and can be manipulated using the woman they love. I’m surprised more people haven’t used starkiller in matches ( I think there’s maybe 3) as just contrasting him with his progenitor is fascinating to me.

I read from alot of sources and fan following that the clone is more powerful since vader designed him that way, yet he had great difficulty fighting vader at the end of TFU2, yet Galen whooped vader badly in TFU1 so some clarity would be appreciated

My theory is that Starkiller never died. I dunno if there is a confirmed story, but i don't think the character in TFU II is a clone. As Kota said: You can't clone a jedi. Vader probably warped his mind somehow after his near death on board the Death Star, and made him believe that he was another one of his clones. That would explain Starkillers force powers in The Force Unleashed II. (Again, because you can't clone a jedi), and the flashbacks are simply because he is still the same man, his mind was just warped after the Death Star incident, and the memories slowly came back. This would also explain why all the Starkiller clones in the end of the game never use force powers against the player. They don't have them. Third time: You can't clone a jedi! The clones were just regular, force-empty clones of the original Starkiller, who survived and was warped, but regained his memories, believing the deception Vader had put upon him, thinking he was a clone.

I think stating that Exar Kun is a fully realized Sith Lord is a good why to sum up the verdict. Starkiller (who I truly believe is Galen Marek who resurrected himself with the Force) is still just a acolyte in terms of training and experience. There seems to be something never taught to him under Vader's training and thus something that makes him less than of a Sith apprentice. He needs something in his training in Jedi or Sith corners to really compete. Though I wish this channel stop disclaiming the very high canon source of Clone Wars series. It's just the fact of the matter is it's only second to movies, and that's not an opinion.

I appreciate the fullness of the detail in this video, because prior to viewing it, I had no Idea who Exar Kun was, and was betting on Starkiller the whole time. I maintain that while looking at pure statistics and lore, Exar Kun is obviously the most likely victor, Starkiller had a penchant for improvisation and implementation of his surroundings. I believe, that WHERE this duel were to take place would be the deciding factor in a duel between the two. Starkiller was downright masterful at using the environment to his advantage in all sorts of unique and surprising ways. That coupled with Starkiller's incredible acrobatic ability, means that he could feasibly dodge many of the attacks Exar Kun could throw his way, as well as endure the attacks that he could not dodge. You yourself said that if Exar Kun could not win a duel immediately, the longer the duel went on, the greater the risk that Exar Kun was at. That coupled with the knowledge that if Exar Kun's concentration was interrupted, he might as well been made of glass. I maintain that given the right location, Starkiller could hold out long enough to summon up a telekinetic attack powerful enough to stagger Exar Kun, and then rush in and finish him.

That really depends on who's shooting the lightning. Kenobi had no problems blocking Dooku's, But when Yoda tried to block Palpatine's, it ripped his lightsaber from his hands.

So you forgot that Starkiller killed a Gorog. It also seems that you forgot that Starkiller was trained to use all those offensive abilities by Vader in about 2 - 4 weeks. The only experience at combat he got was when he escaped Kamino, fighting through Tarko-se, The terror troopers that probably would have bested Kun on a bad day, Imperial Saber Guards, Sith Acolytes (trained by Palpatine, employed by Vader) and Lord Vader himself. If Starkiller had as much time training as Kun did, he would have easily bested Vader and Maybe Palpatine. Starkiller admitted his defeats and after each would have worked on them and the areas he needed to improve. Rahm Kota also would have added to Starkiller's training, opening up a wider variety of defensive and offensive move to him. Just my 2 cents but I do agree, with the situations we know Starkiller and Kun have, Kun was the clear victor, but he would have come out of the battle a little wounded.

The main problem I can really see is that Starkiller was cloned, but when you play the dark side ending to the game Vader reveals the cloning WAS a success... thus in a way telling Starkiller that he was the original. There are differences between the first and second game but if you think about it, even Luke learned how to change his stance when it was needed, this really just made it possible that Starkiller learned a new style by being forced by Vader. Also the game seems to take place during his only successful escape attempt, as his memories appeared to be of times he tried to escape. Even Koda said it was him over and over. The reason why it was really a doubt was because Vader used Starkiller's memories and his love for Juno against him, it was basically how a parent raises a child to be weak by telling them all the time they are useless over and over.

The reason that star killer doesn't defeat vader in either game because it interferes with the original story line, unless vader "clone" was produced. Also his force abilities surpass any that I've heard of, I don't see anyone else pulling star destroyers out of the sky.

I'm talking about their raw force power; Palpatine tells him in the dark side ending of TFU "you could've been my equal, my successor." He wasn't toying with him at that point; he was being completely serious. But it was "COULD HAVE BEEN." Starkiller had a lot of personal growth to do before he could ever really maximize that potential; at a ripe old age, Starkiller would've probably been just as dangerous as Palpatine, if not even more so. Palpatine has a midichlorian count of ~20,500, and Starkiller's is estimated to be about 22,000 (Luke & Anakin, pre-Vader suit, are estimated to be about 27,700; GL himself said they had the same count at birth). Thus, Starkiller may actually have had a slightly higher affinity for the force than Palps. It's just that Palps was way older and way more experienced in manipulation. But it doesn't defeat the fact that the two of them were very very close in terms of raw force power.

Exar Kun would win the lightsaber duel, but if it was all out, Galen would take this with his use of his force powers. Starkiller takes the win here.

I think a really great twist if they ever made a FU III is that the Dark Apprentice, who should be the antagonist for the game, is actually the REAL Galen Marek, lied by Vader that he was a clone.

Again you're using a completely different set of standards and now are blatantly lying in order to get your favored candidate to win. Seriously your choice to use the Starkiller Clone instead of Galen Merak (for the purpose of using his inexperience against him) is an obvious sign that you're not interested in any serious debating. Given how much of a Vader fanboy you are, Starkiller should have been the victor in the lightsaber category. You also lied about SK not beating out Vader. Both he and his predecessor accomplished this in spite of Vader having EVERY advantage in both engagements. You sound much more like a lawyer than anything else in these kind of debates. Starkiller was what? 17 or 18 years old? This kid was a prodigy and the fact that he is even mentioned is a salute to his sacrifice. The rebellion sports his family crest. Imagine if he had better training.

Here are some duel ideas: Exar Kun vs Darth Vader Kit Fisto vs Qui Gon Gin

This video was strangely biased. There were points that Starkiller lost became of "exaggeration" of the video and others that were gained from it as well. Most things that would of turned the fight in Starkillers favor were, dismissed. Also one huge advantage dismissed by Exar was his ability of force illusion. If anything that would fuck up the clone. Either way the we already have a great example of how this fight would actually turn our and i don't think anyone would disagree after the point is made. The battle between Malgus and KCD but with the force gauntlet given to the Jedi along with illusion. The battle described has already be fought. Yes Exar would be able to beat him in the first tier of the fight but after Starkiller uses his Fury it would be over. Exar is someone who is easily blinded by his own skills and when those skills begin to fail so does he and that's a major point in this. If anything the battle would start of heavily in Exar's favor. He'd basically be fighting what he's fought multiple times just more powerful then your average joe. This is where Kun would get a his bravado up. He'd know his skills were greater than Starkillers and probably just try to end the fight. Starkiller in all is fortitude would keep the battle going forcing Exar to get frustrated. Losing his focus like he has done multiple times. While you can say starkiller is a berserker Exar isn't too far from it either when he loses his touch. Exar at this point of frustration would switch to his Double Blade and again punishing Starkiller but not to the point of where his lightsaber could do so. He'd be throwing tons of force attacks at him as well. Both would at this point. Eventually until the battle would go into phase three. Starkiller would effectilve close this phase by using his fury. After clashing blades and throwing each other around Exar would just find a way around Starkiller. Using illusions and this is were it gets interesting. Starkiller clearly has problems mentally and Exar would pray on this relentlessly. (Why destroy his body when you could destroy their mind right?) He would break down the boy and just like before get that Bravado back. Any normal force user would us this time to just slay their enemy but Exar Kun loves his powers and demonstrating them. He would slowly kill starkiller pulling his mind outwards. After he felt that Starkiller was broken enough he'd kill him. Easy as that. Exars light saber style would really help him its just his ability to break his target but lol it actually wouldn't end there because Starkiller has one thing over Exar that the sith Lord wouldn't even know how to counter and be caught completely off guard from. Force Repulse would if anything disable him for a moment while he would go in for the killing blow. (the clones had no force protection and were easily destroyed) But Exar would live. He'd be broken but alive. then Starkiller would pounce on him and end it. The issue that all of these vs videos that these people make is just saying number, numbers, numbers, win. Its as if they don't know each of these people they are talking about are people and their personality brings them skills flaws and Exars flaws were over his power. You could count the charts as much as you can but the only way I see EExar winning is him using his illuuions to break starkiller really early on. This is one of those battles on Deadliest warrior where the numbers really don't help at all, its all about the settings. If Exar had meet Starkiller before he'd win every time HANDS DOWN MOTHERFUKCERS, but just a blind engagement would result in his destruction with a 40% chance of him living.

I like the idea that what set him apart from the other clones was that he had Galen's heart, and that even though he was a clone he was no less a man and a hero. Biology alone doesn't make us who we are.

And because of the era they lived in, Vosk was a great master in the arts of combat but he didn't saw a lot of combat against Sith, while Vader was the greatest Jedi Hunter of his era and he had a lot of experience with the lightsaber, he spent years enhancing his own skills, refining his style, in Vosk's case he spent it teaching others and not refining his style and responses to other situations, while Vader taught himself to expect the unexpected, will be continued in the response....

I like this video, for the simple fact that it addresses the face that Starkiller is a) NOT Galen Marek, and b) is much more of a battlefield fighter, rather than a duellist.For example, I can't see Exar Kun having the same sort of success against legions of Stormtroopers and mecha as Starkiller did.

i love starkiller, but this is fair. if starkiller had more time to hone his craft he might have been top tier, but at this time he was still just 18 years old(clone or not). would personally love to see him vs darth bane, two uber aggressive killing machines with insane force powers.

The amulet is what was amplifying Xun's power which actually would be a problem against Vader as he has shown on several occasions being able to draw on the power of such items to pull off feats he normally can't just from being in proximity of them.

I like how he left out how in game as star killer you literally rip down an entire star destroyer and fend off the fighters shooting at you.

Hey Jensaarai, according to The Jedi Academy Training Manual under Dark Side Spirits, it explains that the powers of the that individual are not changed or enhanced. In the Novel Dark Apprentice, Exar Kun cooks the Jedi Knight Gantoris to death with Dark Blasts. After which he teaches his new apprentice Kyp Durron how to do the same as well, which Kyp then demonstrates by Dark Blasting a rat. Thus proving that Kun and others could use this power without the use of Amulets and such.

If Starkiller isn't considered canon...then how was the rebellion formed?

Actually starkiller was one person,vader took his DNA while he was knocked out,kidnapped him,and pretended that he was a clone that suceded,but he was actually somewhat brainwashed,which eplains how he still has his OWN memory,he's not a clone

Amazing video as always. I'd like to make a request. I've been dying to see a Luke Skywalker vs Starkiller video, with Luke set during or just after RotJ (Since we all know EU Luke would majorly outclass Starkiller.) A lot of people seem to think that Luke wouldn't have a chance. However, judging by his fight against Vader in RotJ, I'd say Luke would definitely be able to hold his own against Starkiller, at least as far as lightsaber combat is concerned. I'd love to see your thoughts on this.
