Same reason my parents are learning to use AI for their projects, it’s cheaper then paying an Artist for custom work when you don’t have the money to pay an artist for custom work. It’s kinda like saying “how could you go to McDonald’s when there’s the local restaurant scene” When all the local places have to charge $20+ a plate to pay rent. Only issue is some of us have to pay rent too.

The grainy 70s look, the voice, the acting, the costumes, the set design and everything was stellar. The end was a brain fuck, It didn't go the way I expected and atleast it was a surprise to me. I felt like this is a tribute or offshoot of the "Analog Horror" genre here on KZfaq and its awesome to see, this is sth that I would love to see more cause there are still a lot of potential.

David D. is one of the best character actors that we have. The man reminds me of the classic horror actors, he's our generation's Lon Chaney! We're so incredibly lucky to have this guy working. Hoping he does more leading man roles because this one KILLED. One of the best horrors I've seen in a while and certainly the best found footage in close to a decade.

So happy I saw this in the cinema last night, and without seeing any trailers! The audience was so engaged, felt like we were the audience in the movie!

Perhaps this isn't my cup of tea. It feels like something out of Goosebumps but worse. Overly cheesy and mediocre in my opinion. I would've been more impressed if it were a student film or something.

Watch The Holdovers. THAT movie feels more like it's from the 70s than this one. And the movie itself is amazing too.

Sounds interesting - I don't watch a lot of horror movies, but the descriptions of the retro-style filming, the acting, and the increasing suspense make me want to see this one.

Agree on all points; this was a great hidden gem. Only other minor complaint I'd add is that it could have used a bit more cohesion. Some of the bits seemed like random ideas thrown in.
