Such a great song by an outstanding artist and original writer, Jerry Reed does a beautiful performance here. This one is the one I remember hearing years ago, thanks for bringing it back to us. By the way I've listen to it 20 or more times over the past few years and recently recommended it to someone. Thanks!

Same as Roger Miller. Love his comedic songs, but boy did he have a soft side! Played them outstanding as well!

Moments ago on a different channel the owner of that channel asked people to comment on what is their favorite song that Jerry wrote. I said there are so, so many to choose from, but "A Thing Called Love" is my favorite. The music and lyrics match oh so beautifully!

@@kensod6034 Glen recorded the song along with many other artist, but Jerry Reed wrote the song. No need to take my word for it, it can be researched fairly quickly. Jerry Reed and Glen Campbell were also great friends. "A Thing Called Love" is a song written and originally recorded by Jerry Reed[2] in 1968. This song has been recorded by many artists, including Jimmy Dean, Elvis Presley, Glen Campbell and Dave Dudley. In 1971, the song was recorded by Johnny Cash and it became a No. 1 country hit in Canada. The record was Cash's biggest hit in Europe, charting in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.
