Jesus Saves the Adulteress From Being Stoned
Welcome to this condensed version of Franco Zeffirelli's biblical story of Jesus drawn from the classic film Jesus of Nazareth (1977). The complete uncut film runs over 6 hours which is difficult to fit into most people's busy and sometimes chaotic lives today. So enjoy this condensed version! And if you are only somewhat familiar with the life of Jesus of Nazareth, may it expand your understanding of his life, death, and resurrection.
And most importantly, If you have not received forgiveness for your sins and asked Jesus into your heart as Lord and Savior, it's not complicated or hard. Every single follower of Christ has been in the same position as you and have done the same thing... simply from your heart let him know you're sorry for your sins, short comings, and failures. Ask for forgiveness from those sins and ask him to come into your life and change your heart and to give you strength and to lead you on this new path you have now started. There's no magic involved or magic words to say, just cry out for forgiveness and mercy from your heart in truth and he'll hear you and meet you right where you are. Beyond that, take the time to read the Bible, I would start with the New Testament, and find a Christ centered church to attend and start your journey as a follower of Jesus Christ. In the letter that I wrote you I told you not to associate with immoral people. Now I did not mean pagans who are immoral or greedy or are thieves, or who worship idols. To avoid them you would have to get out of the world completely. What I meant was that you should not associate with a person who calls himself a believer but is immoral or greedy or worships idols or is a slanderer or a drunkard or a thief. Don't even sit down to eat with such a person. After all, it is none of my business to judge outsiders. God will judge them. But should you not judge the members of your own fellowship? As the scripture says, “Remove the evil person from your group.” 1 Corinthians 5:9‭-‬13 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? It was a hot summer day in the bustling city of Jerusalem. The streets were crowded with people going about their daily business, and the sound of merchants haggling could be heard from every corner. In the midst of all this chaos, a young man named Jesus was walking through the streets, his mind filled with thoughts of love and compassion. As he walked, he saw a group of people gathered around a woman who was being dragged through the streets by a group of angry men. Curiosity getting the better of him, Jesus made his way through the crowd to get a closer look. He soon realized that this woman was a prostitute, and the men were accusing her of committing a sin. But instead of joining in the judgment and condemnation, Jesus felt a deep sense of empathy for the woman. He could see the pain and fear in her eyes, and he knew that she needed someone to show her kindness and compassion. Without a second thought, he approached the woman and offered her a drink of water from his canteen. As he handed her the water, Jesus noticed a small dog sitting nearby, panting in the scorching heat. The woman, who had been shunned and rejected by society, immediately took the cup of water and offered it to the dog. She showed a level of kindness and compassion that surprised Jesus, who had been brought up to believe that prostitutes were sinful and unworthy of love. In that moment, Jesus saw the true beauty of this woman's heart. Despite her circumstances, she had a heart full of love and compassion for even the smallest of creatures. He was filled with admiration for her and knew that she was not the sinful woman that society had labeled her as. This encounter with the prostitute and the dog left a lasting impact on Jesus. It reminded him of the importance of showing love and kindness to all, regardless of their background or social status. He went on to spread this message of love and acceptance throughout his teachings, showing that even in the darkest of places, there is still goodness and beauty to be found. From that day on, Jesus saw the world and its people through a different lens, one that was filled with love and understanding. And the humble act of a prostitute giving water to a dog served as a powerful reminder to all of us that true compassion knows no boundaries and can be found in the most unexpected of places.
