Outstanding, Kyle! What an upgrade in looks. I hope we can hand down our heirlooms and meaningful pieces, by the time it comes to that. Thought about stopping by to get my daughter's future rifles today, but I don't really want to add to the run, even if it's not specifically on rifles. Enough politics. I come here to watch quality work and found it, again. Well done with the camera angles and quality audio. Really communicates what you're trying to say as well as other sweet benefits like hearing that bolt slide.

I might be wrong but my dad once told me that the reason why the Sako/Tikka bolts are so smooth is due to the climate in which they would be used, cold enough to freeze oil, so no oil required. One would assume that the user would obviously clean and oil after use.

I looked at and handled a Tikka T3X superlight and immediately thought the weight distribution was too forward. The hardwood stock is smart for a good balance that turned me off with the super light, slick composite. I preferred the Bergara B-14 Wilderness Ridge over the Tikka T3X. I chose it for being a light weight rifle with good overall balance, grip in all weather conditions, the Remington 700 customization options, fantastic bolt action (comparable to Tikka), and just the legendary Spanish, Bergara barrel. The included muzzle brake was icing, but I don't know an easy way for additional customization. Suggestions are appreciated.

Did not know you have interest in rifles too. I have 308 browning lever action, 300 magnum bolt and 270 WSM bolt also both browning. All great guns and I use them all for hunting. 270 though is my favorite. The 308 has a wood stock and the wood is just so nice to risk getting scratched so extra careful when I take that out. Other two are synthetic stock so ok to bang around a little if that does happen. Just really enjoy the outdoors. Fly fishing is up there too. Nice job on the bolt. Looks unique for sure.

@Kyle, if experience in Canada is like that of the "Lower 48," as time moves along you'll probably find that the "WSM" family is rather a "step child" and ammo might get hard to find. A piece of advice then, if you will, please treat that fine rifle as a "handload only" proposition, and lay in 1000 rounds or thereabouts of new brass, and a set of GOOD dies (Redfield or the like), right now! I don't know if you've ever tried it, but once bitten by the bug you'll be hooked! Trust me, I know whereof I speak, and having watched you on this Y./T channel, I'm not far out on a limb to predict that you'll thrive @it! Best wishes & shoot straight, RRC

@@kyle_noseworthy Hi, sorry i should have been more specific on this. I don't hate guns per se, i really love & enjoyed it when one of my teachers offered us the possibility to shoot his magnum in a test range or an AK47. But to own a gun here where i live you have to request an permit from police and they check your mental and criminal history. What i don't understand is eg the USA not doing that and then complaining about mass shootings. And what i really can't understand is that you can own assault rifles without proper training and permit. My point is more the concern to hand out assault rifles to everyone, even the one's who are not fit to handle one. R.

looks absolutely primo and the hidden fact that it no longer slips by gravity makes it a better system with improved feel... Just a shame the rifle is a nonsense B.S.posturing- magnum calibre (unless you're in the African bush) with an unwieldy 205-ton barrel instead of the far far superior, practical useable and delectable european (sako/tikka) prince of calibres the 6.5x55... Perhaps you could re-barrel it....
