funnily enough god/universe/whatever coincidence made me 2x medical malpractice victim while having to live with hellish parents (bible teaches to respecet parents, yeah right go check how many parents mentally abuse their kids and kids are supposed to respect them!? really!? for what? for that to continue and forward it to their kids!? so basically I was before my departure to USA in 2017 for a chance of finding peace and few weeks before that I got hormonal injection from evil bitch doctor that I didnnt need!? then 6 months later I lost emotions (radiation incident at dental office to my brain) and I lost energy and fight or flight instinct by injection by evil bitch doctor in east europe. I wasn't always good, some called me arrogant (for speaking my mind that always had good intetions btw, but east europe is primitive region so people here don't get it), but I always wanted things to be improved, people get better, and good for nature and health in general and wellbeing and I got 2 devastating malpractice horrors that I live 24/7 since 2017. what the hell did I do to deserve this crap, and what the hell other innocent people did who die for nothing, are suffering for stupidity of others and negligence. where is the god? well....in the book maybe.

@XvX XvX my man these religions are all made up by scholars and as spiritual, logical, rational, they are still archaic and I can tell you examples that those religions are man made. I believe in power of creation of the earth and universe but no current man made religion. and I can say that because I have nothing else to lose when I lost my health. anyhow, the only religion for you and me in my opinioin is justice. go analyze root cause of your health damage and make people responsible. in my case it was doctor who is fully responsible yet I didnt sue her yet, but will or I will bring the pharmaceutical company to the international court despite I may not be elligible. meaning, we have to fight for what's right and we have to fight for justice. we also have to admit our mistakes, for example I was at the doctor and I trusted her despite it was very little timeframe and I didnt have time to learn about drug, so it was my mistake to trust her and not be more careful, but still she was a doctor not me. also, we have to analyze the cause why I was at the doctor, well I had pinched nerve in my neck and I was eager to train in the gym, so I was impatient and not careful to wear warmer clothes for my neck (example) so I made mistakes too. my advice for you: analyze root cause of things and go with unbiased justice and by that I mean we have to admit also our mistakes, but at the same time others should be taken responsibility.

I want to learn it as well, I have also lost a lot of people and it would be an appropriate active service to them. God's mercy is unending and he extends it to all who will receive it. Those who believe in eternal damnation are spiritually dead in their hearts because they lack true compassion and empathy for their fellow man. God sees what we don't see, it's easy for us to judge because we do not know men's hearts, but the Lord of the universe knows more about us then you can we do. There is nothing that can be Hidden from him. Most Christians have a hard time excepting that someone like that off Hitler could find salvation because all they see is what they want to see. God sees the whole picture and judges us accordingly.

TRUE In the Hebrew Bible, the afterlife is when the soul enters a state of quiescence that is compared to deep sleep. Rabbinical texts state that after death, the disembodied soul goes through a certain period of bliss or pain depending on its accumulated earthly instincts and after some time, say 1 year or a little more, the soul exhausts its tendencies of earthly existence and enters a psychological state of deep rest called sheol. The suffering in the "pit" that we read about in the Hebrew Bible is a reference to the immediate state that people who do evil while in the body experience when the soul exits the body after death.

I am myself not catholic, but if I have understood it correctly catholics believe that they who are saved by Christ, must go through a spiritual cleansing, that is what´s called purgatory, before full bliss/ full taking part in the full/ complete kingdom of God. I like this Rabbi's explanation. The way he unifies the ideas of heaven and hell. I've always wondered what attraction there would be in heaven for atheists. If you hate God (not that all of us "hate" God, but for the sake of argument) why would you want to spend eternity with it anyway? Most atheists would probably prefer hell. Also, C.S. Lewis' idea of hell, that if God is warmth and passion and light, then heaven would be the real fire and hell would be cold, the devil being frozen in ice so to speak -- the place of darkness outside the warmth of the feast, per se, to use Christ's own description. So as this Rabbi describes, heaven and hell are both one in Gehenna. The burning light of the presence of the infinite, where whether you love God or not, all the dirt gets refined out of you. This would be the shrugging off of the dirty garment entirely, as the Jews say the body is the garment of the soul. And then, if the soul is the Divine spark, one with the divine or the image of the divine, then once all the dirt is burned off it's only the divine that's left and you are one with God. And if God is not real, then you're not real anymore, you cease to exist after death, so I can agree with that lol. This also strangely parallels science. If your soul is your personality, and your personality is electro-chemical impulses in your brain, then once you die the energy all goes somewhere, disperses out into the universe. Matter and energy being one. The energy being symbolized in the light/fire imagery of heaven/hell/Gehenna/God. There was a lot about science that the ancient Jews got right. The creation myth of life starting in the seas foreshadowing our theory of evolution. The image of angels as wheels within wheels being fulfilled in pictures of galaxies I think. And then this. Then it's really not the ancient peoples were almost right, and now we're right, it's we're closer to being right and humanity has been telling the same stories forever, and still are. The ancient peoples had myths, we have theories. And think about how dumb we are going to look, too, to civilizations in another 1,000 years.

Does this answer things? Lessons From The Light Professor Ken Ring: Behind the question, there is usually the implication that some persons should be disqualified for this experience ‐‐ ra*ists, for example, or others who have led reprehensible lives. The answer I have heard several near‐death experiencers give to this question is unqualified: Everyone, they say, will come into this light. The Light is unconditional and plays no favourites. This reply invariably stirs an agitated response in some members of the audience, and someone will then play the trump card. "Even Hitler?," a voice will ask incredulously. I remember an answer that was given to this query by a near‐death experiencer who, as a child, had suffered severe se*ual and physical a*use from her father. When she found herself in the Light, she asked it telepathically, "Does everyone come here?" She was told, "yes." Then, she herself asked the very question that represents the limit for most people: "Even Hitler?" "Yes." And, then, pushing the Light even further, she found herself asking, "Even my father?" Again, "yes." These life reviews are seemingly always tempered by a kind of mercy that allows most of us to re‐experience our lives without teeth‐gnashing anguish and remorse. There is never any condemnation ‐‐ you are not judged. You are in the presence of a being who loves you unconditionally. You are treated with total compassion. You are already forgiven. You are only asked to look at your life, and to understand. The presence within the Light helps you through it with the greatest and most tender compassion and love and, even at times, humour. You are not being punished; you are being shown, so that you can learn. A man who had quite a hard time looking at his life during his review commented: "I feel strongly that the whole life review would have been emotionally destructive ... if it hadn't been for the fact that my friend [the being of light] and my friend's friends, while we watched the whole thing, were loving me. I could feel that love. Every time I got a little upset, they turned it off for awhile and they just loved me. Their love was tangible. You could feel it on your body, you could feel it inside of you; their love went right through you. The therapy was their love, because my life review just kept tearing me down. It was pitiful to watch, just pitiful ... it was nauseating. But through it all was their love."

the rabbi has to be very careful as gehinnom is what the rabbi says on one hand, however, the idea of it being suffering in the way that it is described is also true. One moment of gehinnom is worse that all the suffering imaginable in this world, so this should not be trivialised, but yes it is a stepping stone to the ultimate please which is eternal connection with God which is so great that it is worth going through a million years in hell for even one moment!

Well if you dont believe in God, part of your cleansing will be learning and accepting there IS a god-- and to get out of that miserable place you are in, you will have to do that, plus learn how to STOP loving and enjoying all the things that God decreed to be a sin. I mean if you ever want your eternity to improve, you have to do that.

@@mordecaiesther3591 I don't have a big problem with repentant tyrants (an omniscient God would know to judge their sincerity) eventually getting to heaven. What bothers me is that the apparent teaching seems to be that this process can take no longer than one year in the afterlife. Jews probably say to this that such a year would be correspondingly much more intensive. All in all, I hope they have it right. There would be no eternal torture for simply believing the wrong thing, either.

Dear some of the issues where I have found a lot of confusion & ambiguity not only among common folks but even among rabbis & this issue I have even shared with a rabbi Josh Yuter are; after life Judgement Fate & free will hell & heaven Purpose of creation ... Let's start with death & afterlife death is a universal truth & everyone accepts it "Every soul will taste death." what happens when u die? is there an afterlife after death or do we simply vanish? Rabbis will usually give u such statements that we believe in the afterlife, hell & heaven but we shouldn't talk about it This is more a political statement from a politician than a religious scholar. Now see some references to after life , heaven & hell which I have found scattered here & there in Judaism This world is an ugly sewer place ( as per Rabbi Wallerstein)and one second of afterlife is better than 120 yrs on earth. Talmud contains scattered descriptions of the World to Come, sometimes comparing it to spiritual things such as studying Torah, other times comparing it to physical pleasures, such as sex. The Talmud embellished this idea, claiming that Gehinnom is 60 times hotter than earthly fire (Berakhot 57b). In the Mishnah, one rabbi says, "This world is like a lobby before the Olam Ha-Ba. Prepare yourself in the lobby so that you may enter the banquet hall." Some sources compare the bliss of the afterlife to the joy of sex or the warmth of a sunny day. According to one mystical view, every sin we commit creates an angel of destruction (a demon), and after we die we are punished by the very demons that we created. Some views see Gehinnom as one of severe punishment, Despite such references scattered throughout Judaism. Judaism is famously ambiguous about what happens when we die. The World to Come (olam haba) is the most ubiquitous Jewish idea related to the end of days. It appears in early rabbinic sources as the ultimate reward of the individual Jew (and possibly the righteous gentile). I strongly suspect that there is something on the subconscious level which prevents rabbis from seriously studying & talking about this subject It seems there is a collective subconscious effort to cover up this important issue & put it under the carpet. although this subject demands clear answers May be events like holocaust have made them very careful & conscious about discussing fate of millions of souls. it’s like Jews subconsciously agreeing on an official theological party line.
