The red outfit was suppose to be worn by the prince instead of the princess, so the prince was the initial target.🫢

Jia's punishment was a long time coming. She may have been innocent in this one sense but she had to have known that all her misdeeds would catch up to her sooner or later. Jingsi is a princess whom the emperor loved and cherished. She was a child of his true love, Ruyi. His shedding those tears for her means her death hit him harder than any of his other children.

Jia did a lot of bad. Her dog was innocent. Funny how Jia gets punished the most severely for something she didn't do. Either way yanwan gets the worst punishment in the end.

@@andrewkat2829 but Jia never set her dog on the princess. If you are just watching the show I won't spoil who did it. Jia could not find her dog that day, someone had their eunuch kidnap the dog and have it attack Ruyis child to frame Jia, then the eunuch broke he dogs neck :( it was supposed to go after the prince but earlier the prince and princess switched clothes so it attacked her by accident.

Emperor, Ruyi and Hilan are that friends group. They all love each other and find eachother's company reassuring during tough times. When the emperor is upset he only talk to these two. During the first queen died he asked Hilan and yungqi to come inside to spend time. And here as well when no concubines dared to come Hilan came and emperor talked to her like he was expecting her to come.

I think what happened is that Jia gifted Qing the fabric and Qing used them to make the clothes for the prince and princess. What she did though was use them to make the prince, who was supposed to be in red, a target to be attacked. She lively even dabbed Rhododendron water on it so that the dog would specifically attack the prince in red. But since the 2 kids decided to switch clothes, the princess ended up being the one attacked instead of the prince. The prince was the original target until the 2 switched colors. So the true culprit is more likely Concubine Qing, not Jia in this case. She's just riding on the whole situation made by Jia already as all blame would immediately fall on her and not Qing.

@@20PINKluvr I'll probably die. But i try to avoid things like that & stay home.🏡 I had 3 Stents put around my heart. Heart Disease is where your blood vessels are getting clogged up from cholesterol build up. I got them every year in 2018, 19 &20. ✝️🙏♥️😊

So, not to excuse the harm the emperor causes of his own volition, but I have to wonder if his spiral later on is due in part to just how many children he's lost and how little he was able to do to mitigate that. As well as, of course, two wives and several concubines whom he cared about (to varying degrees.) The sheer amount of loss is insane, its a wonder any of them held it together for so long. I get that he was also being influenced and manipulated by a lot of people, but I'm sure that kind of loss had an impact.

I prefer the other version of the emperor in the story of Yanxi palace, starting wu jinyan. He’s way less prone to beating women but he’s very willing to take the life of his teacups

The son was the one who was suggested by one of the other xonaprt to wear the red one. Meaning the dog would attack him. But as the daughter ended up wearing it the murderer didn't have time to change the plan so the princess died instead.
