IKR, he had me LMAO 🤣 😂 with the entire 🤣 😂 Starbucks telling 😂 🤣 of how it is!!!!! 😂 Along with wanting to strangle people because people 🙄 have become 🙄 sooo entitled, impatient 🙄 & rude to one another nowadays 🙄 INSTEAD of taking time to be friendly & pleasant to one another...I grew up in the 70s & 80s when people were way different to one another & I just CAN'T wrap my head around our society nowadays!!!! It makes my day better to be nice & pleasant to others, as well as it makes their day better if I'm nice & pleasant to them...If we were to all be that way & lead by example, it may help others change...Atleast that is what I hope & pray 🙏 for...

I NEVER grew up with OR was ever raised with that AT ALL!!!! It really boggles my mind, lol 😆 😂...I couldn't even imagine having that feeling AT ALL no matter what!!!! Many, many years ago, I was a barista in a bookstore coffee shop in Corte Madera, CA. One order encapsulates my feeling of the espresso consumer: Frazzled woman approaches counter, digging in purse. starbucks barista here. Everything he said was spot on. I was expecting to hate this, but can't poke any holes. Especially "instead of slapping this person, they give a nod of as you wish". Its so much worse when they mobile orders where we can't explain why their dumb order is literally impossible. You just... do your best. Fun fact: there was an era drive thrus werent allowed cuz they limited customer interaction. In malls they couldn't put out water pitchers, people had to order it face to face. Even if it took more time. Now, depending on the location, the norm is walk in, grab your mobile order from the counter and walk out. Without interacting with a soul or looking up from your phone. How the mighty have fallen.

I have NO IDEA where all of this self entitlement came from & neighbors fighting with each other instead of being a neighborhood tribe looking out for each other!!!! Gaffigan is so fascinating to me, he does more or less the same style of bits, and always has, but I think he keeps it fresh because it's always 1. about himself and his own experiences, but 2. it's the absurdity. My dad had scar tissue in his throat that made swallowing difficult for him. He would get food stuck in his esophagus at nearly every meal, then abruptly get up and leave the table. He was quite embarrassed by it, more so if we drew attention to it. Also, because it happened daily and we knew it was not a blockage of his airway, we got used to the unappetizing sounds of him aggressively clearing his throat, both at the table and in the bathroom. I can totally relate to looking like a jerk to other people! Many times over the years, dinner guests looked around in alarm as my dad ran away from the table gagging on his food while we all casually continued eating!

@@damatar That was the case for my dad as well. He struggled with it for 50 years. Finally, it got bad enough that he got a pill wedged in there, which put him into the hospital for a week because he could not even get water past the blockage and he was getting dehydrated. They diagnosed him with Barrett’s esophagus, put him on a medication, and after a few years of quarterly checkups, he had no further issues.

@damatar since at the time they thought I might also have an ulcer, they were sending the camera down and the doctor just inflated it with a balloon to widen it. It's funny, that you mentioned that, because I also have had a history of acid reflux, although since I eat smaller meals it doesn't bother me as much, and losing weight again would help too. Chicken breast and bread still bother me a little bit, but I just have to eat more slowly than I did before. I'm from a very rural area. There were no specialty coffee shops, then I moved to a city where there was a coffee shop on every corner. On my first try I went through the drive up. They: "good morning sir may I help you" Me: I'd like a cup of coffee. They: Said nothing and waited expectantly. We just looked at each other for an uncomfortable few minutes. They: What kind? Me: Folgers

Question: Why hasn’t Jim Gaffigan ever hosted SNL? It seems odd to me that he’s never done it, even though he admits to being obsessed with the show for decades…

In Dunkin' Donuts' defense, while I live in the upper Midwest, some years ago I was in a DDs' drive-thru line that was so long you'd have thought Ben Affleck was manning the window. Yet, maybe that's why JG's "Dunkin" store was empty at the time. All the customers were going through the drive-thru.

And yet, during the rush you still have those that just NEED to cry out, "i oRdErEd aN aMeRiCaNo 10 miNs aGoO0o!" I've been here waiting longer than you. At what point did you see ANY of the staff stand still for longer than a milisecond? Baristas have that wall of tickets, are visibly busting their asses off and people still go, "oh, what's taking soOo loNg, my order was simple..." Uh, they're slammed! LOOK AROUND!👀

Had some self-important twit do exactly that in Starbucks: Was touching everyone else’s online orders at the pickup area over & over, angrily challenging everyone patiently waiting with “Is THIS yours?! Is THIS drink yours?!” Whining that they were taking care of the drive-thru instead of making the drink she’d ordered five minutes ago when the place was slammed. Interrupting the staff every 30 seconds. Finally one customer said to her, completely deadpan: “You need LESS coffee, not more.”
