No. I really disagree. I love Charlize, she's packed with all the skills and charm to be a Bond but if a woman takes the role, the franchise would be ruined. Bond has always been a dude. She could really be a Bond Girl tho. She's perfect for that.

Besides, MI6 is entire agency, why not have a female oo9 who is just as cool or better than bond? btw. .I'm black, fried chicken and hot sauce black, and I don't want a black James Bond ether. people should respect this character's historic popularity, and stop tampering with it. they've done enough already.

Guys, calm down. This was Chris Hemsworth's words. It's not a feminist move. Charlize, from other interviews, was clearly surprised but not really interested in that idea. Jokingly she said " Daniel (Craig) you've got the job. I'm not gonna take that job away from you" and then she turns to the reporter and says " Are you cray cray?"

The problem isn't that she's gonna be James Bond, she could be in a spy movie, just not one called James Bond. This has happened with Ghostbusters, Marvel Comics, Doctor Who, etc. The problem isn't sexism, it's fans of the series that are mad cause you're slapping a label on something that isn't the same thing they know and love. I've seen more people complaining about "man babies" than I've seen "man babies" btw.

Look, if they want to make James Bond female I'm all for it. Charlize would be the perfect choice. And the other side of that same coin is why I don't think she should. Charlize Theron already has her James Bond-like and potential long-term franchise icon in "Atomic Blonde's" Lorraine Broughton. If there was ever a female action-star icon primed for the long-term, it's her. Charlize is just young enough to pull it off, and she's just as brutal, if not more so than even Daniel Craig's Bond. And thirdly, why would women want to piggy-back off a male action star anyway? That's the thing with Broughton -- the character is female from the beginning, and that's something both female and male action movie fans can get behind.

Why not do a female spy that is trained by James Bond? Or even trained by an older version of James Bond. Changing the gender of an existing character instead of creating a new one just seems lazy. I think that a sophisticated female spy would be cool.

NO...HELL NO!!! James bond is James Bond a man, a mans man. Not a female. It wouldn't be believable in any manner. It would be like a movie about an all female DELTA/CAG team or SEAL Team 6. It would bomb bigger than the all female Ghost Busters.
