1. ・なかなか〜ない

1. なかなか〜ないなかなか〜(negative)
[意味]① 簡単には〜できない　　
It's not easy to ~.
② 〜するには時間がかかる
　 　It takes time to ~.
[接続]
なかなか + V（否定形）
* ポテトチップを食べ始めると、なかなか やめられない。　Once you start eating potato chips, it's hard to stop.
* 漢字がむずかしくて、なかなか 覚えられない。Kanji characters are difficult and hard to remember.
* もう7時なのに、コンサートが なかなか 始まらない。It's already 7 o'clock, but the concert doesn't quite start.
“なかなか”More than expected
* この問題は、なかなか 難しいですね。
* このケーキ、なかなか おいしいですね。
* あの芸人、なかなか おもしろいですね。
2. 〜なさい
[意味]命令・指示を表す。Expression of ORDER “Do ~”
[接続]V（ます形）ます + なさいex. たべる → たべ(ます) + なさい = たべなさい
* 肉だけじゃなくて、野菜も食べなさい。Please eat vegetables, not just meat.
* ご飯の前に、手を洗いなさい。
　 Please wash your hands before you eat.
* はやく勉強しなさい。
Please study quickly.
3. 〜なら
[意味]① 相手が話したことを話題として取り上げる。　 Take up the topic of what the other person has talked about.
② 限定や対照を表す。「ある１つのものや事柄に関して言うと〜だ」という意味。Expresses limitation or contrast. It means, "In regard to one thing or another, it is...."
[接続]① 普通形 + なら② N + なら
* ジョンさんはどこ？ジョンさんなら、さっきトイレに行ったよ。 Where is Mr. John? If it's Mr. John, he just went to the restroom.
* 東京を観光したいんですが、どこがおすすめですか？東京観光なら、浅草がおすすめですよ。ぜひ浅草寺に行ってください。I want to go sightseeing in Tokyo, where do you recommend?If you want to go sightseeing in Tokyo, I recommend Asakusa. Please visit Senso-ji Temple.
* ちょっとコンビニに行ってくるね。コンビニにいくなら、アイス買ってきて！I'm going to the convenience store.If you are going to the convenience store, please buy some ice cream!
* 何かスポーツはできますか？
* バトミントンならできますよ。Do you play any sports?I can play badminton.
* 何か外国語を話しますか？英語なら話せますよ。
Do you speak any foreign language?
I can speak English. (But not other foreign language)
4. 〜にくい
[意味]①〜するのが難しい②なかなか〜しない（性質）difficult to 〜, hard to ~
[接続]V（ます形）ます + にくい
* 焼き魚は骨が多くて食べにくいです。Grilled fish is difficult to eat because of many bones.
* 田舎は道が細くて運転しにくいです。The roads in the countryside are narrow and difficult to drive.
* このガラスは強化ガラスなので、割れにくいです。
　This glass is tempered glass, so it is hard to break.
5. 〜にする
[意味]色々ある選択肢の中から、１つを選んで決めるときに使う。"decide on~” Used to decide on one out of the various options.
[接続]N + にする
* 今日の晩ごはんは、ハンバーグにします。I will eat hamburg for dinner tonight.
(At toy shop, there are many items to choose from)
* どれにしようかな。まよっちゃうな。
* どれでも、好きなのにしたら？
* じゃあこれにする。
Which one should I choose? I'm so confused.
