I just love that they use the gorillas as bodyguards in the trilogy. It's not just about their physicality, it celebrates the protective instincts of Silverbacks, who lay their lives to protect their packs in real life too.

It's good that the main humans don't last for more than one movie. The virus would have eventually got to them. No plot armour stuff. But they stick around long enough to show that not all humans were the same and makes the story more sad

Toby Kebbell doesn't get enough credit. He's performance as Koba is one of the best tragic villain story in all of cinema.

He knocked it out of the ball park...even just this small clip, at 3:05 him absolutely yelling with such intense hate "HUMAN LIES!" Koba is one of those characters that stays with you long after the last credit

It was a hydroelectric dam in the apes territory. He says that if the apes let the humans fix the dam and bring electricity to the city then they will leave each other alone.

Honestly, the best part of the second movie was this intro… then it became a cringe melodrama. Also, goddamn. Apes when they actually evolve ARE superior to humans… they’re can scream very loud, they climb better than us, they don’t need clothes and they don’t get sick easily.. and ofcourse they’re physically stronger than us.
