I think this is why I connect to your content. I’ve been a promoter, waitress, frontliner, NGO volunteer, unemployed for the past 2 years 😅. Congratulations on your new position, I enjoyed teaching online and will probably keep doing it again in the future to make an extra income when I no longer have this job. Just know that all your hard work eventually pays off, keep pushing and please don’t make the mistakes I’ve made with money 🤭

The Tanzania song🕺🕺💃 Your story is super remarkable and relatable I'm still in varsity, I was a sales person of a natural hair care brand 3 weeks ago, I made R350 for a duration of 2 days, it's not so much but I managed to meet a good number of my needs And yes I envy people who afford zara, cotton on and all those reputable shops but one day I'll be financially fit to a point where I won't worry about the prices of those clothes. 😹😹My start up job was being a promo girl as well at varsity, was a waiter after. Then spent some few years in retail till I got brave enough and left to go back to school😪. In all those jobs the was a lesson learned. Thank u Tisa for sharing ur journey ❤️

Did you enjoy being a promoter? I found it fun at times and I’m glad I started there. I think I would have been a terrible waiter 😅 Wow so you worked in retail and saved up money, where you ever tempted to buy stuff you didn’t need because of stuff discounts or sales? Retail was the beginning of my financial poverty 🙆🏾‍♀️ I’m glad that each job had a lesson, thank you for sharing this with us Siyolisiwe 💕

👏👏👏🎉 Congratulations Tisa. I actually took up promotions in varsity too coz I thought it was cool. I saw a lot of students doing it and I lasted one week 😂. I respect promoters shem. And I love what you said about the the 2year time line. I've had a similar approach coz I'm very growth minded. My first official job after graduating was in debt counseling and it shocked me to see just how many people were drowning in debt, what shook me even more was handling cases of people where were my age coz no one ever teaches students about the consequences of debt. I was already blacklisted by the time I got my first job coz I bought a phone ko Edgars on account. How they even allowed a non-working student to get a account is beyond me. I feel companies should be held responsible for allowing dependent students to open accounts

You lasted only a week😅 was it the in store promotions with the big tables that you have to carry🙆🏾‍♀️ The 2 year time line was something I just felt I needed to do to keep moving, keep learning and not settle and get comfortable, we’re young after and have lots to learn, see and explore and also that was temporary work, that rule doesn’t apply much anymore. I can imagine the stories you encountered at the debt counselling job, I trapped myself with those accounts and I had to keep working to keep up with my payments, paying debt has become more of priority than studying because I was scared of not being able to pay up, my mother didn’t even know I had those accounts. I remember being encouraged to lie on my first application for an account, I clearly didn’t qualify for the amounts I was granted. Thanks for sharing 😇✨

Lol i feel like im listening to my doppelganger because we're so similar. I started working while studying too and initially wabted to go to China but EF did me dirty so i started learning about Korea which is where i am. My rule is different though, i have a one year rule, im only planning to be here for a year probably check out the NGO gig you mentioned, i know thats something im passionate about

And if you don’t stick to your 1 year rule it’s okay as long as you’re still achieving your goals and enjoying your life, hopefully you’ll do China one day, I’m contemplating SK for a year, I’m curious about life there vs China but maybe one day in the future because my goals/ next phase of my life needs me to be in South Africa. I used to do promotions in varsity every weekend..They would pay us R100- R200 and it was good money then ! What I hated was the rejection from people and sometimes I would shy away from my classmates, imagine promoting doom and you are asked weird questions or called the doom lady😂

😂😂😂😂 promotions neh. I was a promoter for a cell phone. I forgot the brand, but it is those Mobicel type of phones. I also worked as a stock counter and the money was good. I studied logistics so now I am a logistics assistant.

Promotions🎉🎉🎉💸💸💸..Promotions money was nice ,I remember there was one that granted me a chance to see Anthony Hamilton perform for free🥰..The night ones were sometimes annoying for me because I’m curvy and those skimpy dresses made me so uncomfortable💀..You are right when you say promotions can distract you ,students who like doing them should try their best to find a balance ,as hard as it is🥺…

Wow that’s so nice, who did you know to get that gig, I know that with big promo invents the promo managers etc would choose family members and people they mostly liked but now and then after they notice your hard work, reliability and performance they’d start to really see you. I hated the skinny dresses so much, and because we were working we had to act nice to people that were being out of line 😒 let’s not get started to trying to organize transportation because a cab would literally take up all the money you made that evening. There are these jobs where you open accounts for people. A big scam that one and it is a 6 to 6. That time they do not pay you. They even sing songs every morning when they get in and when they knock off. I went once for training and I was like this is not for me to the manager.

Yohhh how do people do a job that’s meant to scam people and there’s no basic salary, I’m assuming it’s commission based. That place sounds like one big party of theft 🙆🏾‍♀️

The centre based online teaching requirements were; a bachelors degree only. They now have home based online teaching, check out the link in the description box for the requirements.

To many more subscribers, likes and incredible milestones 🙏🏽 I loved this video so much as I relate so much to it xx started working part time/ on weekends at 17 as a packer/ cashier at Sp*r, then worked as a waitress, pre school teaching assistant, NGO volunteer, SI leader, babysitter at university. Nam I actually worked for the EF 041 branch whoooop ❤️🌻 All these jobs shaped me 🥳🤲🏽 Thanks for sharing bits about your life with us 🌻 Now that I have my vexx money, I’m ready to manage my husband’s finances as a wealthy stay at home mommy / housewife 😂 I welcome this era please!

I promoted for 8ta as well😅Hunters and Clere… then I’d work as an usher in Big events in Mthatha and we would be paid R300 for a whole show. Yhuu mkr

Really you did that 8ta promotion 🤭 it was a long promotion and they needed many promoters. I also did Dove lotions. We come far, some of these promotions were actually fun.

@@chatwithtisa I was a till packer at a retail store during my high school times, then also in high school I was filling the fridges at a hyper bottle store, lab assistant in Varsity, marked Matric papers for 2 years in varsity, Administrator at an IT company, Auditors assistance for an auditing company in JHB, Procurement officer for a Civil Eng company, Tenders Administrator, Teaching and training for internships, then now I’m in China Teaching English😊😊to be honest I have learned a lot especially working with disadvantaged communities 🙏🙌I’m so greatful for that experience 😊

💕🌹💐I'm selling food been working @ midvaal local municipality people can be heaters I decided to resign,now I'm bzy making money doing surveys,having HoneyGain app where I borrow bznesses around my WiFi at the end I'm gaining money.I love to work by my self.Love u Tisa then my big thing is to save on shares for my kids I have 3of them.
