Jocko, you should have Echo........... as a guest on the Podcast. Let your listeners find out who he is, where he’s been and where he’s going. (Yes, we’ve gotten bits and pieces over the last 3 years). Let’s get a deep dive.

There is genius in simplicity. This is leadership 101. For some people this comes naturally, others have to study it, work at it and then work on the people skills....the art form of leadership.

Jocko Search up "Aquarium" by Victor Suvorov. A book about him going from a tank comander, to Spetsnaz operative, to russian GRU spy operative. I think you will enjoy the book in all of its aspects. He does go through some of what you read here from a first person perspective.

OK so maybe I was over-reacting about the rules slide the other day. "If you think an effective dishonourable move is a legitimate move then one day you will exonerate suicide bombings or shooting your opponent during a Jiu Jitsu match." But hear me out. Once, Echo said something like "why wouldn't you want to face your opponent at their best?" The contrary to this would be: poison someone, ruin their mind, cause a heel injury, so you can exploit those weaknesses to win the Jiu Jitsu match. OK, so you'd rather not do that -to- defeat the opponent legitimately. Then why would you submit someone who practices karate? There might be a legitimate reason to, like because the opponent is attacking you in the streets and what the hell. But what about a competition scenario? Karate or Tai Chi or whatever, they have no repertoire of moves for certain stages of grappling on the ground. So are you really facing your opponent at their best if you aren't facing them where they can use their techniques? The real question is: what can Jiu Jitsu do to defeat a Karate practitioner where the Jiu Jitsu opponent does not render their moves impossible? After all, if you cripple your opponent before the fight you're rendering their moves impossible and if you shoot them you are using moves that Jiu Jitsu is impossible to stop (presumably, next I'll hear some story about like choking the bullet out). So, at what point is a Jiu Jitsu kinda cheating against an art that doesn't fight in the space it fights in? I could potentially use HEMA against a Jiu Jitsu guy - and don't get me wrong, maybe you can disarm a sword guy easily, it's not like you can't grab a sword or exploit certain ranges - but I mean, it seems unfair to me if the HEMA guy uses what his art does to fight the Jiu Jitsu guy. So really, only if the HEMA guy practices all the bladeless grappling and wrestling components do they have a repertoire of moves that have something in the Jiu Jitsu space, whether competitive or not. Similarly, the Jiu Jitsu guy doesn't seem to have many -dedicated- bladed combat techniques. From what I can tell there is no reason to think there couldn't be and I'm sure there are a few deadly machete arts in South America but I'm not sure they're native to that art. At what point is a Jiu Jitsu guy pinning, choking or beating a traditional martial arts dude not actually winning because they render their art impossible? Not facing them at their best because instead of overcoming their techniques they're rendering their techniques impossible? What's the difference between that and using some other method like poison to render their moves impossible? Maybe those other arts should also evolve to have a more whole range of techniques for each fight-space, maybe they do, I'm certainly ignorant. But maybe the Jiu Jitsu guy should beat the Karate guy standing? Maybe the Jiu Jitsu guys should have a set of techniques for every fight-space too?

Welp, it's my first time getting first comment on a video, so i'm excitied :) trying to shut down's someone happiness by criticizing makes you seem like a 9-year old bully. Additionally just like Mr. Sam here you also care because you took the time to comment. :) You should learn to be productive and happy for other's rather then be negitive and spiteful. You'll enjoy life more.

The podcast 145 when u talk about the dragon book u wrote it sound just like the movie how to train a dragon. The main character is a kid who’s dad protects the village from dragons and the dad dies and the kid has to protect them now.. u sure you didn’t watch this movie with your kids and steal the movie line from it because it sounds like it…

Be like Bruce Lee, like water. The simplicity of God's love is like water. Everything in our reality is here because God allows it. Why shouldn't we apply his wisdom to our works? it only makes sense. I've been working at Wendy's, and the owner and son will show up occasionally and most of the crew will panic. Especially the managers. Why? Panicking doesn't impress the owner and son. If anything, it makes their job more uncomfortable. So why would crew members, and so called managers (act like one then) panic themselves, and also create a stressful environment to the leaders. The owner and son are legit guys. Both of them are extremely intelligent and effective in how they promote their product. I become shocked how some people are so amateur at some of the most simplistic tasks. I don't even know how they breathe without choking sometimes. Or chew their food without biting their tongue. What has become of the modern/average American? I am appalled.
