Abe Simon was my Uncle. He showed me how to box when I was 8.He would come to Sunday dinner and then show home movies in the living room. He had the biggest hands of any person that I ever knew. Thanks Uncle Abe. Love You.

@pm3434 That's Awesome Man. I haven't boxed since I was 18, 40 years ago. You'd probably win like your uncle. But yeah Man, how could I refuse. Besides, I don't have many teeth left to get knocked out. And you wouldn't have to worry about me bitting your ear off like Tyson, I can hardly chew anymore. But, yes. I'm up for it as long as we shake hands before and afterwards. 😊❤️🙏

Simon took some shots that would have killed some guys. His defensive skills were just about nonexistent and he didn't get much leverage on his punches. His best defense was getting close and clinching. Louis was a clean fighter. He waited until he had an opportunity to land clean shots.

Not true. I can clearly see Abe Simon utilizing good lateral movement and rear and lead parries just opening the video. Modern boxing fans confuse not running around using exaggerated slips as having no defensive skills. No trainer would’ve let you fight in the 40s without defensive skills. Abe Simon went 13 rounds with Joe, and beat Jersey Joe and Gannar Barlund. Absolutely didn’t do that without skills. Wlad Klitschko's best skills for defense was clinching.
