That question is above my pay grade. Lol. Since 6 puts out half of 12 in ohm’s I wouldn’t think it would work. I would bet they make one that will work with yours though

if you go to pertronixbrands.com enter your tractor info.. you should be able to get one for your 3010 6volt ignition

Morning Matt, Well to be honest nothing yet. From what Ive read Ill "notice" the difference down the road as you dont have the points, etc. to wear and start to cause problems.. I changes out as I had missing problems. Changed plugs, fuel filter, rebuild carb etc. non of those seemed to help..So ignition.. it does run better so I would assume that IF I would have changed out new points, etc prob would have helped. I have owned tractor for over 20 years and have replaced ignition point alot so for me elect. ignition would pay for itself over time..
