Newmont, Agnico, and Barrick are the first gold stocks for a gold bug to have in a portfolio as they are solid producers and dividend payers! Then the incredible fun of picking potential winners is the challenge and excitement! Keeping up to date on the whole sector is a great investment hobby! Referring to the big gold producers? They haven't reported Q2 yet. The run up in gold price started right at the beginning of Q2. So when Q2 is reported (soon), those results will be the first that reflect the run up.

Unless you are buying a mining ETF or are a "do it yourself" fool like me, get assistance from pros and/or newsletters to pick individual mining stocks. Really tough sector and easy to lose money.

There is a saying "On Wall St, if you are early you are wrong". Well, it's not exactly true. Only true if you are using leverage or buying options (that expire).

I got 2 issues with this: 1) not a matter of if, it is when; 2) the MM like jpmorgan will always beat us into submission
