No, they’d be more susceptible to murder. Millions of shootings are stopped by responsible gun owners every year. Criminals typically use illegally purchased guns regardless, so all this would do is strip responsible gun owners of means to defence and make criminals feel more comfortable brandishing their firearms and shoot people with them

This is the reason why people are cynical of western democracy. Hearing is supposed to give the other guy a fair chance to get have a say on the matter but this congressman can’t keep his mouth shut when he should, keep going with his accusations and conclude the case without even listening! I don’t have TikTok app and not a fan of social media but at least tyrannical government isn’t wasting time with this disgraceful theatrical circus.

Sorry, but here in our Constitutional Republic named the United States of America, Congress, these committees, and the American people have gotten fed up with the constant stonewalling and word salad to a simple yes or no question to avoid accountability.

@@ZackarySchejbalCODBO2RGM2 Yes or no questions do not assuage anybodys fears. They are simple tools for predatory politicians and attorneys to pigeonhole their defendant into giving biased answers. The Singaporean CEO of TikTok should ask the Congressman can Facebook, Instagram and any other US-based / US-origin social media app access home / office WiFi? If the answer is YES, then these Us-based / US-origin social media is a national threat to other Countries too ! If the answer is NO, then what makes him thinks that TikTok can? If the Congressman replied that US-based / US-origin social media app cannot but TikTok can, does this implied that the technology of China social media app is far more advanced than those from the US ? So, in this case has US finally realized that China technology is now ahead of the US ?
