Def Leppard agree with Neil. That's the whole reason for the album title PYROMANIA. But then again they faded away into top 40 Hair Metal, and only Steve Clark ended up burned out. RIP. But John Lennon has a point. At the end of the Beatles he said, let it be, not let it burn. I was never a Neil Young fan, I think you had to be there in the 60's to really get his music and I just wasn't around to appreciate it maybe. All I know is that his voice grates on my ear drum!

My wife and I always loved Harvest from Neil Young. But admittedly Harvest Moon holds so many memories. Both the opener Unknown Legend and War Of Man are my favorite songs off Harvest Moon.

Hey Doc, if you like the acoustic side of Neil, you should definitely check out his 1992 Unplugged album (if you haven't done so already). Pretty killer record---and it includes a version of The Needle and the Damage Done, so you can't go wrong with this one! Give it a shot.

I do somewhat agree that Neil's acoustic playing is better. And that he's definitely not the greatest guitar player. But that guitar tone has never been copied!!

I like Neil's older stuff like Harvest as well but my favorite from him is Sleeps With Angels. Worth a listen if you haven't heard it.

Sorry Doctor, I have to disagree with you. Neil Young is a genius, when it comes to the use of feedback. But perhaps you should listen to “Like A Hurricane” or “Cowgirl In the Sand” lyrics like that are up there with anything on Harvest. But I really think you should watch Live Rust the movie or later live material. Also let us not forget his contribution to CSNY. 4-Way Street is an amazing live album. So maybe go back and listen again and as Neil sings Keep On Rockin’ In The Free World”
