He's my long-time favorite musician, but every few months I discover another new (old) favorite John Mayer song that strikes a chord with me. Today it's War of My Life. Brilliant artist.

I get tt. He's willing to confront the discomfort of any demons that come up rather than sittng in the complacent, half-dead kind of numbing pain that takes forever (if ever) to heal. He's talking about fighting for his LIFE and not allowing himself to slowly die. I'm probably head tripping here...but I am so intrigued by WOML. It takes courage to write such a very personal, yet universal, song. Reminds me of Kenny Loggins "This Is it" except a generation later.

Tbh I went into 10th grade having it good but during october it came to a fall and then it came back to good at March. The words in the song describe what I felt. Such a criminally underatted song from an underrated album.

Nothing out of the ordinary from the tone here. Typical John Mayer clean tone through his two rock. He's got the best tone right now no doubt. For all you guitar players like me, i'm sure you've spend ages trying to nail this tone!!

No, not at all, because that's what makes John Mayer so great. Most of these songs that he plays before the album releases will sound different on the album and have different lyrics.
