Those IPF spotters and Olympic stands are a joke. They obviously don't give a shit about safety. It's trivial to set up a cage/monolift and safety straps, you can still dictate that the bar has to be walked out. This is all kinds of stupid.
@ArtyYooo
@ArtyYooo 5 жыл бұрын
To be fair, when the weight is divided it's not heavy at all. 200kg, with 4 spotters, is them carrying a shared weight of 50kg each, i.e. like 1 person spotting a bar with half a plate on each side. It's a lot of weight, but with more people it gets less and less. It's the same reason why groups of people on the side walk are able to flip cars after car crashes etc., division of labor.

John Miller yep, exactly! And it also seemed to me like Ray made sure to go even deeper on the 3rd attempt than he did on the 2nd, just to be safe. So it seems a little off to me that one of the judges called his second lift good, but not his third.

Mole Hansman the judge failed the lift with a yellow card and a yellow card can mean a lot of things. Most likely it was due to a reason that we could not see like him lifting his feet off of the ground, or him touching his feet to part of the bench.

Are you kidding me with these depth calls? The IPF really needs to sort their shit out when it comes to calling depth. If you are going to put in the rule book that the crease of the hip must be below the top of the knee, then call it that way! It’s not 1inch below the top of the knee, or 2 inches below the top of the knee. If it is, then change the rules so there is no confusion. SMH IPF

Ray strong as ever, crazy to see how his deadlift evolved, especially considering his body type. Unfortunate for the third squat attempt though, looked quite deep, didn't see it from the side of course. It would have gotten him the 1100 mark :/

He clearly went way below depth. He just has big quads so the judges are being pricks.

The only thing that's unknown is how much strength he keeps when he come off the gear to pass the drug test. I am not really sure how that all works but I would think he would need to at least stop taking it for a few weeks maybe a month. I would love to see it happen, even if it was just for fun it would be grest
