Bringing them back to destroy them once and for all. Don't fall for it. Personally, I don't care what they do. If it's an IP or franchise they own, I've lost complete interest in it and it's characters at this point. Let them burn these characters and their history into ashes. It won't move the needle for me either way. If it's a Disney production, I won't be watching, regardless of what movie or character it has to do with.

I have seen videos of a Jack Sparrow from Disneyland that I have had to do double takes because he is that damn good. Unless they can confirm it is Johnny I am pretty sure it is the Disney Cast member.

It's not Johnny. I have seen him several times at the park. This guy is a lot younger than him. He's just a diamond in the rough and resembles JD in his younger years and is an amazing imitator. He is a regular cast member that's there all the time. He doesn't have the tattoos on his hands that JD has. Also, JD is in Europe.

My husband worked security at WDW and handed the stars security for events. It's not JD, but he's met him and he has been at the parks in costume. So even though this ain't him, when they line up for pictures with him every woman with a pulse gets in line. Sorry kids but this is mom, grandma and great grandma's time.😍

When looking deeper it sadly seems this is simply a cast member (great performance on their part btw!). Found an article with video of this same guy with people thinking it was actually Depp on Express from 2022 and he was acting the same way (wandering off, same voice, the bandage, etc).

I saw a closer up Tik Tok of this, it's not him. It's insanely close, but the bone structure of his face is a giveaway. Johnny's face right now, is fuller in the chin and jaw area. The cast member's cheek bones weren't as defined and as high as Johnny's, and his nose is different. So, as awesome as that would be, it's not him.

Exactly. Watch his court videos and he's obviously looking much older. Probably from all the drinking he does. I saw him at a venue about 8 years ago where I worked and he was obviously drunk. That lifestyle isn't good for your health.

Yes it was Johnny Depp my son and I saw him a few years ago when he was there, and we did talk to him. He goes to relax and this is how he does it. I know this because when he talks he is the exact voice of Johnny Depp.

I can tell you that is NOT Johnny Depp. It is not that similar. I find it strange I can tell it easy while you cannot. I will list the reasons: *Younger face. *Better posture (means younger person). *Voice is slightly off. *Shorter than Johnny -Also, think if the likelihood Johnny would actually do something like this in his situation. Chances are likely less than 0.1% he would even entertain it.

I saw this Caption Sparrow impersonator 3 weeks ago at New Orleans Square Disney Land. He was holding two little girls hands as they followed a mama duck and her ducklings. It was sweet. He was a bit different from the way other characters interact, more personable and realistic. But this one is much younger than Jonny Depp and not him. Sorry.

Why is everyone in the comments assuming that this would have to be something Depp and Disney would agree on doing? If this were official...why was Depp covering up his signature tatts with bandages etc? I think he was going undercover to troll Disney and make a point that people loved the Pirates franchise FOR JACK SPARROW, and they can't repeat that success without him.

Just compare other videos of this amazing cast member. You can tell it's him and not Depp. Depp is in London. If he wants to do this, wouldn't he go to Disneyland Paris? This cast member is so convincing. But it's sad that TPP actually made this a story. It brings their legitimacy down a notch to spread a false rumor.

It certainly looked like him. I thought of that time years ago when he was on the ride in costume tripping people out. Its awesome he would do that. If people can control themselves and roll with it, let him be Jack Sparrow and respond to him as such it may encourage him to make more appearances. That may encourage other stars to appear as their characters. Everyone just be in the moments, enjoy them, remember them and allow the little ones to have experiences of a lifetime.

Huh. I wonder how much money they had to throw in Johnny Depp's direction for him to agree to return. Of course, there are those that would question the wisdom of returning to Disney after the way they treated him (myself included). But after that long, drawn-out legal battle with his POS ex-wife, it stands to reason that he MIGHT be in need of a paycheck or two. So in that regard I can't begrudge him his decision. All I can say is that he better have gotten himself a sweetheart deal out of this debacle.

I have looked up different videos of this guy that popped up at the same time. I really don’t think that’s him. He looks like the really awesome cast member that looks basically like a clone. I’ve seen face characters reference other characters before that belong to different franchises. He only talks about “that mind thingy” which would be totally allowed.

I can't say if that was Johnny or a real good Disney cast member. If it was Johnny it's doesn't mean he is back officially. He could have been there with a Make a Wish family. Every one knows Johnny travels with a Jack in the box kit just in case gets a Make a Wish call. That's one reason fans adore him so much. Until Johnny himself says other wise i am not buying he's back.

The way that he kept walking away from the cameras. That’s exactly what the stars do when seen in public. (Unless they’ve arranged for photogs to be there)- they try to be as inconspicuous as possible. -from someone who grew up in Los Angeles, and has seen some around, they don’t generally enjoy people rushing up to them and simping. That’s something that they try to avoid at all costs. So I could see Johnny wanting to be there for the kids, but the minute he feels penned in by adults trying to take his photo or video, - he’s out. It does make sense to me.

This calls into questions your veracity. You do realize that Depp is now 60 and looks it. That cast member looks like Depp twenty years ago. Johnny aint got no time machine. AND what you're saying about "handlers" and character cast just walking off is wrong. When their time is up, interaction is up and the characters just walk off stage. Happens twenty times a day at Disneyland.

I'll pass along a thought I had last week. Lets see if you guys agree? I told my wife last week, if Disney was smart, they would give Johnny a $500 million payday to return plus script approval. Me as a fan in return will go see the movie 3x in the theatres to show Disney how we the people, have the power and lets make the next Pirates movie make $1.5 billion at the box office. It would show all studios that the fans control the agendas.
