I have a Joker Nomad that continues to impress and outperform my greatest expectations. The Nomad has a Convex grind which remains sharp after multiple hacking and axing large branches and wood varieties. I can’t say enough about the quality. Expensive but heirloom quality and superior durability, performance, fit and finish. I saw your video and just had to comment.

Great video, thank you for showing them. The attention to detail is indeed great, the way they matched the grain in the wood to run the same way for both sides or how they even used a brass tube for the ferro rod lanyard hole. The Sandvik steel is also good enough for general use and very stain resistant. Well worth the money!

I love the little details that Joker gives you for under $100. Matching handle on the Ferro rod to the knife scales, 550 cord, scraper, great sheaths (leather or kydex), incredible fit and finish that matches $200 knives from BRK and LT Wright, very comfortable handles with many choices and 14c28n, n695 (440C) or k720(O2 steel) in ffg or scandi w/o a microbevel. Don't know any other knife that gives this much in the $75-$110 range. Only "downside" I can see is its not US made which matters to some people and lack of super steel choices that other brands give you thought at an increased price. As much as I live 14c28n and k720 is nice but I would love to see some of these models in 3V, M4 or cruwear. I'd pay an extra $40-$75 to get upgraded versions of these models.
@danielcharbonneau222
@danielcharbonneau222 2 жыл бұрын
Yes I do hear what your saying. But dollar for dollar for what you get from Joker, can't beat that. I would like to see the NOMAD in 3V, now that would hit the top of everyone's list on a must have knife. Again super steels are climbing in cost everyday because of whats happening in this world economy. I'm not willing to pay a high premium cost for a super steel when I can get a Joker knife at such a great price that has all around quality built in. Being made in Spain, to me that's OK, as long as it's not made in China.
@D00MTR33
@D00MTR33 2 жыл бұрын
@@danielcharbonneau222 I agree, I just think it would be nice if the offered a more premium steel as well. If you don't want/need it you can get a great value knife with still really good steels(I like both their 14c28n and k720, for the price their performance is great) and great fit and finish. But for some who might want some more toughness or wear resistance and are willing to pay for it, it would be nice to see. I'm a fan of 14c28n (and steels in its class like Aeb-l and Nitro-v) and cruwear, both are in my top 5 favorite steels so I'd live to see an Avispa, Lynx or some other models in cruwear and 3V. As far as Spain I'm with you, I don't care where a knife comes from as long as its made well and not supporting a communist government. I'm glad to see Joker getting more love recently, its been a secret in the knife community and more people should know about how great of a knife they make.
@danielcharbonneau222
@danielcharbonneau222 2 жыл бұрын
@@D00MTR33 Yes I totally agree. Joker should look at an upgrade in steel used for a few of their outdoor knives and see how people react through sales. AEBL, 3V would be a good start. Right now I do think people are starting to take Joker knives serious, at lease here in Canada and the US. I think in time they will introduced some super steels into their line up. Lets Hope!

Agree. I'll be throwing in a stitch or two to hole the belt loop close, I don't like the snap either. I never had a problem with the insert but, I'll take a closer look at it. Thanks for your comment.

I received my brand new Nessmuk knife today and it was dull and useless as a knife! (Where are the checks and balances on the Nessmuk useless knives?)

I just went outdoors with the four knives and sparked my Ferro Rod. I don't usually use my knives to strike a ferro Rod, but, if I have to, I will.

I've been looking at getting myself a Mora Eldris one day. I do like the Avispa {scandi}, its almost exactly the same size as my Becker BK11{full flat}, which I do use a lot. As for the Avispa I think its an excellent neck knife, second knife, love the sheath. It carves great and feels good in the hand for a small knife. I keep this knife with day pack.

@@kenmerriman4112 Yes I believe so. One of a kind look for sure. It's funny, because after replying to your comment I was examining the scales and the swirls are very unique and in no way looks like the other three, I'm happy that I own these knives. I just went and bought myself a Puukko Sami. I should be getting it by the end of the week.

Just started glancing at these Joker knives. It seems to me like they kinda rip off other people's designs, like they don't really have their own identity? Still look really nice though.
@danielcharbonneau222
@danielcharbonneau222 2 жыл бұрын
I do hear what you are saying, but, knife designs have been copied for 100s of years now and it's hard to have your own real design. Even if you think it's a unique design to you, it's probably been done before. Unless you are way out in left field with your design. LOL Thanks for dropping by Blake.

Thanks for the look. I like all the BS9 designs. And agree on the quality and value. We usually get reamed with prices here in Aus, even axcounting for the weaker Aud, but these are reasonably priced on Amazon.au 14c is better than N695 i reckon due to its better toughness. I have one in each steel. Looking forward to the individual reviews, the Canadia design looks interesting, i like the belly and swoopy handle.
@danielcharbonneau222
@danielcharbonneau222 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. The Canadiense is one of my new favorites. When I seen the scales I knew it would climb to the top of my users. I knew that these Joker knives were selling for a fair price, so, I decided to invest in a few more, to date I now have added three Puukkos towards my collection. I think you can't go wrong buying any one of these knives, they feel and handle good with no hot spots. Shipping cost, very descent. Shipping from the USA, well, that's a different story. I would like to have a US made knife like a Bark River, Tops and even a custom build, but I just can't afford the high shipping cost to have it shipped to Canada. It doesn't make sense to buy a $275.00 knife that also cost $45 to have it shipped to Canada.
