bill burr is so right. no matter if guilty or not, once a man is accused for something like that, his career is ruined. years ago, a german tv host was accused of rape. it didn't even take 3 weeks to figure out that those accusations were false. still, he lost his talk show and every other contract he had.

In the mid 80s my PE teacher in elementary school was accused of molesting a fellow student. His face was in the paper and EVERYONE (or so it seemed as a third grader) completely vilified him. All of a sudden he was no longer my teacher and all the adults were chattering about how awful he was and how shocking it was that this happened in our community. It was so confusing to me at the time, bc he was so nice. Once he noticed I was throwing away peanut butter sandwiches and I was afraid I was going to get in trouble for throwing away food, but he bought me an ice cream from the cafeteria and said you have to eat something. Tomorrow eat your sandwich or tell your mom you don’t like PB & J. Fast forward YEARS it turns out the mothers boyfriend was the one one that was molesting the poor girl and she was scared to say “who” but need to say “someone” is hurting me please help. I still don’t know what happened to the man who was accused. He was a good PE teacher and I’m sure now as an adult understanding what happened better, what he went through must have been absolute hell that he didn’t deserve. So sad.

Bill you are totally on point. As Mark Twain once said, "By the time that the truth has went around the world once, a lie has already been around the world ten times". I believe that if you lie to get a person put in jail, you should have to do the time that they were going to have to do. If you believe that this is too harsh then you would have to at least agree that the accusation should not be allowed to be made public until it is proven true, as Bill stated.

Johnny looked pretty good up until AH. The last 6 years of dealing with her crazy ass aged him. The drugs don't help, but he did not look that rough until her. But I guess if your wife tells you that you're a fat old man who's gonna die alone, beats you, cheats on you, and then goes out and tries to destroy your career...that will leave a mark. 😳 And as far as the accent goes...he was born in Kentucky, raised in Florida, lived in California, France, the UK, and Australia. I don't think he has a fake British accent. I think he sounds like a dude who's lived all over the place. And who hangs out with people from everywhere. Because he has.

what I dont understand is why an accuser can mess up somebody's life and reputation and when the accuser loses the case, they just walk away with NO consequences but the person they accused has had their lives turned upside down + bankrupt from lawyer fees. This is happening to Depp, it happened to Michael Jackson and it happens to regular guys who get falsely accused of sexual molestation/rape etc.. and yet the accusers just go back to living their lives.

Not usually a Bill Burr fan but I do completely agree with what he has to say in this video. Names should not be published unless guilty beyond all reasonable doubt. False accusations ruin lives even if proven false, as some people choose to believe the worst of someone without caring to check facts.
