Fiction Plot: "It was summer 1945, a southbound troop train led by two unlettered black Northern 4-8-4s suddenly appear in Salt Lake City via Ogden, with 100 Sherman Tanks and three separated Pullman consists packed with high ranking military personnel.
The staff of Salt Lake City station didn't receive any notification from Ogden station about a special troop train but a section of a local train. When everyone in the station was still confusing, a direct photo call from the Head Quarter of D&GW ordered the station master to assist the crew and officer on the troop train to replace the double-headed 4-8-4 as soon as possible, with the most powerful steam engine available in the train yard, and told the station master not to ask any question.
Due to lack of availabilities of the steam engine caused by extreme heavy wartime traffic, only two L-131 2-8-8-2 "Chesapeake" was ready for the replacement. The train continued moving Southbound, heading to Pueblo, Colorado.
After the war was finally over, the Station Master told the staff that General MacArthur and his advisors were on this special troop train for a secret military mission, but he didn't know the detail of it."
