Do you know the 12 rules for life that Jordan Peterson lives by ? Here’s a FREE PDF of the 12 RULES FOR LIFE if you don’t know them: bit.ly/12-RULES-FREE-PDF
Jordan Peterson Refers to the events of the 20th century, the atrocities of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union under Stalin, and he says that to understand what the perpetrators of those heinous acts were like, we have to put ourselves in their shoes and we would see how easy it is for anyone to commit evil.
He says, “they’re exactly just like you, and if you don’t know this, you’re naïve and you know nothing about people, including yourself.”
The question is not if you have the capability of becoming a monster.
The question is, what sort of monster do you want to become? A controlled monster or a resentful and hate filled one? Jordan Peterson says you either become a monster voluntary or accidentally...Jordan Peterson - Why You Should Unleash The EVIL MONSTER Inside You

War is bad. The war to end all wars did not. War is bad. So if one always prepared for war, it will come one day. Let's say that in the next war, both sides are in a stalemate. They are tied yet both sides lose and not only the ones that are fighting but all the bystanders too.

I found that just looking mean and having a face like you are about to snap and fuck someone up if they even speak to you. Not even the biggest guy will make a comment about you. I once saw a group of lets say young boys (prob about 15-17, I am in my teens as well) and they were shelling out comment at any one who passed them. Like comment their outfit their phone etc. so I lowered my headphone volume kept the same face (I call it my poker face as I display zero emotion and I look at least semi agitated) the same walk, up-strate posture. Rightenousness isn't prized on this earth, it's prized in heaven. The righteousness suffer for their time period on earth, being hated by the world, but their real home is heaven, where they'll be for all eternity. On the other hand, living the way you want and being loved by the world may feel like you have it all, but your soul when you die? Where does it go? I think we all know. It's really sad. Ask God for forgiveness and repent. Remember, they hated Jesus first. Love and suffer with him, and your prize will be waiting for you in heaven by his side. This life on earth is just a test. Our flesh is temporary, and our soul is forever. Jesus loves you and he's knocking on the door to your heart. Listen to him.

I’m 26, I will say that I experienced the monster in me 3 years ago. I blew up on my ex boss, he would bully me and others in the workplace. He said one word to me that made me see red. My whole body started feeling hot, which had never happened to me before, and I blew up on him. I couldn’t believe I had that type of rage in me, it felt good. His face was priceless to say the least. After that I became a different person, I started getting angry and speaking my mind a lot more than I should’ve. I became a bitter person, angry at anyone who didn’t show me respect. It came to a point to when my sister realized I was being overly reactive and angry all the time. It took me a few days to realize I had unleashed my shadow, and I needed to tame it ASAP. Looking back at it all, I’m glad I experienced the monster within me.

They are a scared, trauma child unable to let go of the past and collect grudges nonstop. It drives them insane and so they must distract themselves with their ego pumping. I dont show I laugh, but internally I roll on the floor laughing whenever I spot a bully or someone tries to devalue me with petty words. The violent ones (sociopaths) is even better. I know for a fact that they would have done the same thing to me if the opportunity had presented itself. In spite of that, it's still not a decision I enjoy having to make. It's not something that makes me feel powerful, but rather an action that I take out of necessity. But, we all have to do what needs to be done I guess. I think that a good person is somebody who's completely aware that they have the ability to be a bad person but they don't want to be. We all have the ability to be monsters, it's simply a matter of finding the trigger that unleashes those monsters. A good person may resist pulling the trigger but that doesn't alter the fact that it's there. And it also doesn't alter the fact that it could be pulled.

This is the absolute truth. - Learn how to fight, so that you don't have to fight - Be nice, but not too nice. - -If someone is mean, be mean back (occasionally)- - If somebody wants to manipulate you, don't fall into their game. - Don't seek war, but be prepared for it. - Have an inner monster, but control it. Jordan Petersen's arguments are pure logical, it all makes sense. Remember, bad people always looks at the ones that appear weak, learn how to stand up for yourself. As a 25 year old who’s really soft and socially anxious I think this is exactly what I need to learn. It’s no wonder I’m so attracted to darker characters both in movies and in real life. I’ve always had a strange fascination with my bullies for some reason. A part of me admired that about them . And years later I thanked them internally for that. Because it allowed me to pinpoint what it was about me that they found weak. If there’s different forms of teaching fighting I think I’d benefit from learning a more aggressive and darker form but maybe I’m wrong! After all I’m not a teacher.

Here's my 2 cents on fighting, whatever its worth to you: I've been doing some form of martial arts for almost 20 years now. And in that time I've really come to value the focus that it gives you. They darkness and the violence aren't the key, its the focus. When you learn to really focus, you learn to let go of everything except for what you're doing. And when you let go of things like anxiety and fear and anger, you also let go of the care and compassion. You temporarily let go of emotion and thought - all of it, the good and the bad. And that's what I think is the monstrous bit that Peterson is talking about. MLK talked about 'evil succeeding when good men do nothing'. And the holocaust is referred to as an example of the 'banality of evil'. Scary stuff happens, not when people are angry and hateful, but when they don't care at all. It allows people to de-humanize those around them. I think it's being able to recognize and control the parts of you that don't care when you should care (and vise versa) that is the integration of the shadow.

Refuse to help victims, because you weren't helped when you needed it? That's just called being a c'unt. Those who make themselves victims, I can see that idea, but those who could do nothing but become a victim... meh, they kinda need a helping hand. You'd be a cu'nt to refuse helping those who need it when you have it well within your power to do so. It's a small sacrifice for you, a large gain for them, a massive boost of hope to help push them forward. You don't have to give them everything, just enough to allow hope to blossom and push them forward. The hope that you could've done with when times were darkest, the hope you once struggled to find. It may just be a single raindrop to set it in bloom, or it may need a torrential downpour. It's up to you which cases you tackle, but don't pretend or try to justify refusal of cases as "well, I didn't get any help and look at me now!", they're not you, you took a hard road. Not everyone is cut out for the hard road, and they shouldn't suffer for that. A warrior exists to protect those who can't protect themselves, not to stand by and watch them suffer. That isn't weakness. Look at it this way, it's bringing more people to support you, because you have supported them, and they will raise you up upon their shoulders as you raise them up, and they will be your voices, they will be your soldiers, and they will be your willing subjects because you will have shown yourself to be worthy of the title of king. Or something along those lines. Basically, standing by and watching people suffer is cun'tish, and not a monster in the way Peterson is speaking of. You're not a monster, you're just a cun't. This was your best video. In order to be a hero, you must first be a monster; then control the monster.

i can confirm growing up there was always ppl who wanted to fight me or pick on me to try and be a bully but when i never backed down and i worked out to be buff all the time they never had the guts. Ppl are cowards and they want to pick on the weak ppl cause they know there less of a chance of pushback. It's why the needle was forced on the mentally handicapped first. The defenseless are always the first target.

There’s this skinny black kid in my school, he thinks he’s popular, he acts tough all the time and always tries to stir up fights. A few years back (when I was in year 9) we had a feud over football/soccer and so he started pushing me and talking shit about my sister. Obviously, this triggered me, so I pushed him back and dropped my bag and said to him “if you’re looking for a fight, then let’s do it right now”, being the kid I was in year 9, everybody knew I was passive and tranquil, but everyone also knew I was a strong boy, capable of beating anybody in a fight. So after being face to face with him (literally), he knew better and backed down. I must say I was soo pissed off that I didn’t even care if the teachers saw and suspended me. The following day, he came up to me and gave a whack apology, but me being nice, I accepted it and we moved on with our day. Ever since, I’ve always kept practicing martial arts and boxing, behind closed doors, since you’ve always got to be prepared for the unexpected. Now, I’m 16 and respected by others, yet slighty feared, because they know what I’m capable of. Long story short - It’s good to be a nice guy, but make sure that when someone tries to walk over and disrespect you, you’ll always have the upper hand when fighting.

I learned that fact the hard way, many years of abuse by people I thought were friends and family before I opened my eyes and realized that I deserved to be treated like a PERSON. Since then I've use those experiences to get stronger, I won't let anybody push me around anymore. I'll be kind and loving because I like being that sort of person but now I have my line carved in stone. Cross that line you will not be worth my time effort and most importantly. My respect.

Forgiveness and compassion are good, but justice is objective and universal. I can't expect others to be forgiving and compassionate, but I'm sure everybody agrees that everyone desires justice. Evil people utilize good people's morality against themselves. That's how they escape justice and thrive.

Absolute facts on the 'shadow' inside everyone that makes each and every human being capable of the worst atrocities. When I come across people who think or want to think they are good people-- for whatever reason-- I might chat with them, hang with them, maybe even befriend them; but I'm fully aware of one thing: I can't trust them. And I don't.

Well said , usually the ones that try and be perfect and come across as the typical good guy have the biggest shadows and are probably the biggest assholes.

part of why i didn't stand up for myself in the past not only because i was afraid of retaliation and being hurt but also i was afraid of letting the thoughts in my head of what i would do to my bullies express themselves . because honestly i would kill them so i was afraid of letting the monster out. but i am learning now to stand up for myself and train myself to not be a pushover
