Jordan Palmer shows us how quarterbacks can take their game to the next level by always being in Triple Threat Position!

Played QB high school and college. Love it! Less is more, don’t get bored doing it right. Coach Palmer does a darn good job.

Just came across your channel doing a search for ‘QB triple threat position’ and your video came up first. I was surprised that the concept is not more prominent in football the way it is n basketball. The relevance of this is that, as a Dolphins fan, I hear a lot of people complaining about our center snapping the ball too high on shotgun. While Connor Williams is just a starting to play that position this year, my instinct tells me that the higher than typical snaps are by design so the QB catches the snap a n a triple threat position and does not have to drop his eyes which would be the case with a lower snap. It is risky because a few inches too high forces the QB to leave his feet and take his eyes off the field and increases the chance of a disastrous snap where the snap is too high to bring in at all. However, if the center can land the snap consistently so that the ball comes in around eye level, the qb is in optimal position to pass, drop and stick into to the RB or tuck it and run himself. This technique introduces some risk but also reduces the low snap risk, the unexpected snap where there is a lot of crowd noise and the snap that comes Nelly button and lower that causes the QB to take his eyes off the field and also dig the ball out of his belly and bring into throwing position. Was hoping you might watch some of the Dolphins film and comment. Was also thinking the reason that McDaniel didn’t start Bridgewater this past week and went with the rookie citing reps in practice is because it is something that a Qb needs to adjust to get more comfortable receiving the ball in that position. Thanks and hope to hear your comment.
