As a Bama fan, I am also a fan of CFB Traditional Blue Bloods....if Nebraska can ever get it right, they'd be right back atop the CFB Mountain. I've been pulling for their program but it's been sooooooo long now, that I'm starting to wonder if they will ever get back to National prominence in my lifetime.

Of course. Miami averages 10-15k students annually as a small private school with high academic standards for non-athletes. Most of the schools you would compare them to are averaging 30-40k students annually with standard academics. Nothing wrong with that, but of course you will have more butts in seats. Most of our programs are elite from basketball (which we made three sweet 16 appearances and two elite 8s in the past 3 years), baseball (sec title champs and world series appearance over the past few years), track and field, volleyball, golf, and so on. We just have an abysmal football program rn. If our football program picked it up, our base would def turn up

As a student at OSU, these past couple of years have done wonders for the stadium atmosphere. It was so dead with the great offense, but as we've turned the corner to great defense, it's brought the crowd back into the games, and since we aren't untouchable anymore, it feels to me like a louder crowd this year than the two prior. Hope it continues...

Every college football fan base or fan of anything has caustic, hyperbolic fans online. That’s the internet - everyone is a tough guy and shit talk has no consequence. Go to college football games and tailgates. Meet the alumni and fans in person, then make a judgment. I’ve been to some Longhorn tailgates for both football and baseball. Fun, good-natured shit talking aside, we’ve always been treated with respect and had a good time with those folks. Unlike the fans of their in state rival (A&M), they don’t take themselves too seriously and are pretty realistic about their status as a university, athletics, and relevance as a brand.

There will never be another Terp venue like Cole Field House, though. Obnoxiously electric during the basketball good times. A good adjective for Terp fans is fickle.
