For me the simple things are the very best! Lester and Jamie always have 'babies' available for a snuggle or scratch or bellyrubs. It is definitely a huge responsibility and more work than 2 full-time jobs but those special moments do make their labor-of-love more than worthwhile. Whoever sent you the sling for "the babies" was not only thoughtful, but a genius! Those two are too stinkin' cute!!

I have 2 smaller older dogs. 1 has a few issues going for long walks. I found something that you might consider for taking Journey for walks. It’s like a harness. It’s a piece of canvas with 4 holes in for her legs. There’s a thick nylon strap at the front and back and will go up over your shoulder like Pig Newton’s pouch. Lay it out flat and she stand with a foot in each hole. Pick up the straps and it just wraps around her with her legs hanging out and she can see everything. Put the straps over your shoulder and off you go. She’s secure and you have 2 free hands. Just sending an idea along to make your carrying Journey a little easier.

Across the back of the neck is how I carry my Italian Greyhound when I venture too far and don't bring his carrier ( backpack worn backwards). I know darn well never leave home without it. Why do short jaunts end up the day we meet up with dog friends , have too much fun,or I'm distracted by being out in nature with my Iggie Boys, end up too far for Ol' Noodle Legs to make the trip home. After 11 years you think I'd know better. How does that go?" Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Then again I know why they don't market baby carriers to grandparents, my aching back. Guess love gives me strength to slug it home so both my boys enjoy the park. If I had a broken leg, I'd still have strength to carry him home, just not enough energy to do any housework! Win, win!!!💛 All the hard work Lester does for everyone else is the burden of love that makes life worth living. All The IMA family of fans, shine beside you with love, support, and carry that spare tire when the wheels are wobbly and it looks like your going to lose one. I am never without honour and gratitude, inspiration for that world wide glimsp, of that love of amazing people out there paying attention showing up with a bucket when Lester only has a shovel.(metafore) Just had to express how IMA is a bigger picture, I see, and that is ALL OF YOU out there!🏆♥️ If it's all going to h*ll in a hand basket, no worries, the one we are in is filled with bailers and hole pluggers and navigators( all of you out there). Hey Lester, just a thought... there are harnesses on Amazon that you can use a seatbelt with for dogs. It might work for Newton and Journey on your cart since it has seatbelts. Just a thought. They are just going to keep getting bigger and more curious.

Just want to let you know that I keep seeing Journey trying to scratch her left ear but she can never reach it so you may want to keep an eye out to help her. My 3 legged dog had a similar issue and I got in the ritual of rubbing the inside of his ears daily for him 💜

Newton is beyond spoiled, but I love his little pig-pouch, he feel asleep in his pouch kind of like a kid sleeping in the car in their car seat. What if you put Journey in a Red rider type wagon, she would still be in motion which she loves but she would not have your constant touch. but you could watch her and transport her easily.
