In this week's regular episode, Patrick and Stuart do all of the final preparations for their traditional American Thanksgiving at the chateau including table setting, final decorations, and floral arrangements. They welcome their new friends in France to a perfect evening at the Château de Colombe for a Thanksgiving feast.
Join Patrick and Stuart on their journey to find a neglected, forgotten, or crumbling château in France, and then continue to follow them as they work on its restoration, rénovation, decoration, and furnishing. Along the way, they will also create and share videos on their preparation for having gîtes for guests, and an event venue in their chateau (wedding, birthday, anniversary, organization or club meetings, retreats, etc.).

Oh my goodness you two! This all brought tears to my eyes. The table was laid so beautifully, the glass bowls i loved. Then the candles and flowers and people all talking and laughing, so heart warming. I loved it all.❤

Much to my surprise, this almost brought me to tears. In a very good way. All of you gathered around that beautiful table in that candle lit room, the dogs helping with the floral arrangements, of course the food, and the careful filming that shared it all with us. So happy for you two. You never gave up your dreams and are showing all of us dreams can come true. Very thankful for both of you and of course the pups. It was fun to watch you two in your preparations for hosting a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner. The decorations were amazing. And the video itself was so well done Stuart. Thanks for sharing. Considering that Nessa survived in the wild for 9 days and was not skinny……. She might be timid at times but she is the toughest cookie in our box 😳😂🐕👍🏻. Our dogs did the same thing. I LOVE the glass pumpkins! I have a thing for crystal and glass décor. The entire table setting was perfection. The flower arrangements were lovely as well. I love how the fur babies were very interested in the prep work and taking sneaky sniffs of the food on the side table. Looks like you had a truly wonderful time. Happy Thanksgiving!

What a beautiful table. Enjoyed every minute of this. Loved watching the flower arranging and seeing the pups roaming about especially Nasa! How beautiful is a candlelit room! I read a lot about the Danish philosophy of "Hygge" and it really does speak of the ambiance you guys produce. Not sure if you are familiar with it, but it is nostalgic, warm and mindful. The table and flowers looked great, but it's so nice seeing people being able to meet up again and celebrate together, I think we have all missed this over the last few years. Beautiful arrangements, you are very talented! The rose-like multi-stemmed pink flowers are lisianthus or Prairie gentian. Beautiful long-lasting flower and easy to grow in your own gardens.

As beautiful as this video was to watch, it made me very emotional. I'm not sure why? The music, the lighting, the natural banter between you two at the table while those gorgeous flowers were put into three different flower displays, the warmth as you greeted your lovely guests...maybe it was everything rolled into one. How pretty and inviting your table is set. You boys are truly talented. I hope you have the most blessed wonderful time. Yes. The dishwasher is essential. I dont have one. I'm told their very efficient to run now. I love candle lit meals. Everyone looks so pretty in that light. It fills the heart with peace.

Hi Rhonda. The table is really inviting. We all had a fun time. We clearly had no problem without a dishwasher. However, it makes a difference when hosting large dinner parties. Lisianthus are the soft pink flowers and Alstromeria are the others. I have always loved Royal Doulton Baronet pattern it adds so much to a beautiful table, without competing…. great food, great vlog. Thank you for sharing your interesting life and many more years to come.

I’m thankful for meeting you through your videos. I’m so happy you have made such good friends in France and seem to be over the moon happy. Your dinner, table setting, dining room decorations and the lovely flower arrangements created a perfect festive mood. And I’m sure your pies were a great hit. Congratulations on 15,000 subscribers. Tomorrow, is Thanksgiving for us in the states. I’ve been cooking and baking all day today. Tomorrow the turkey goes in the oven, and the remaining side dishes will be cooked as they have been for many years because my grown children won’t let me change a single dish. I love being with my children, their spouses and my young grandchildren. Im blessed and very thankful. xx

Stuart, your table setting and other touches were lovely. The Wedgewood you used is one of my favorite patterns. I am torn between the black and turquoise colors as I like them so much. Patrick, your arrangements were really well done and I loved your interaction with the pooch.
