Frankie is outrageious it's true. He pushes the bar as far as it will go. Yet off stage he's a lovely bloke, with a crazy giggle. He was found to be too much for the BBC and they let him go but on stage he can get away with it. That's a fascinating beard by the way, Two tone. Very interesting.

I definitely think his accent plays a big part to his humour. Some accents wouldn’t work for this style. His delivery as well is perfect.

That’s not typical British humour, that’s raw Scottish humour. Funny thing is if you were in a pub in Glasgow that’s how a lot of the ppl would talk to you straight up, & if it happens to be a drunk enough guy he’d probably follow that up by “geeing ye the heed”(smashing his head into yours - giving you the head)(they LITERALLY are hard headed ppl)

If you want some shock value go back to the 70s of British Comedy, they will drop your jaw to the floor I promise. A few names to play with: Bernard Manning Dave Allen Les Dawson Roy chubby brown Jim Davison I am not sure how much of their stuff is available on you tube but it’s worth looking for. I don’t think many of us would laugh at it now because things have changed.

I went to see Jack Jones I think his name was on a works outing and made the mistake of going out to the loo during his set 😱 I was only 18 I matched the red dress I was wearing for the rest of his time on stage. It was really funny but my parents were also there lol.

What’s your point? Funny is Funny. Things have changed since the 30s etc. but I still laugh at Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy Abbot & Costello etc. The problem now is the young uns are taught what they SHOULD be offended by & not what is actually offensive. I did say that I like my comedy very un pc… it has got so bad that sometimes you really have to have a quick look around to see who can hear you before saying something that is un pc but you are joking as so many people are professional victims and are offended by so many things these days and I hate it. I myself have a very dark sense of humour and find the comedians these days who are woke about as funny as cancer.

You really need to react to Mock The Week, particularly Scene's We'd Like To See, and even more particularly (wow that's bad English!!) Frankie Boyle's best bits. You react to so many British things but never Mock The Week. Dan Patterson created both Who's Line Is It Anyway (original UK version, yes the US copied it!) and Mock The Week. The UK version of Who's Line had a lot of Americans over the years, Mike McShane (early days), Greg Proops, Colin Mochrie, Ryan Styles, Wayne Brady among others
