I’m Welsh and this is a pretty normal thing for us as well. Though I don’t know if it’s the same for the Scottish when it comes to an outsider joining your group or a friend of friend, and someone tries to roast one of them, it usually doesn’t end well, I imagine that for you guys the outsiders are more willing to join in and not take things offensively. That accurate?

There's a flicker of shock when he notes that there are kids in the audience and then you can literally see the exact moment in his head where he goes "fuck it: they're targets" and then the utter joy when he comes up with the "they know you wank" gag and knows, instinctually, that he's hit comedy gold. It's glorious.

I absolutely loved your reaction JT. I was laughing more at your facial expressions that at Frankie. I have seen this a few times though. Frankie Boyle is very quick witted. Remember all this is off the cuff and there is no break to give him time to think. That's the thing with British Humour, it's brutal and it comes at you quicker than you were expecting. If you were a fly on the wall in any number of British homes you would be shocked at the way people insult people they love to bits. All in jest of course.

Sooo tempting to give away my favourite Jimmy Carr heckler comeback.... but I'll save the spoiler and let JT find out for himself. I'll also ignore the phishing attempt that your comment seems to have attracted.

It's a long-standing two way trade in Glasgow - traditionally comedians had to be exceptionally brave to play the Glasgow Empire, the slightest stumble and the audiences would murder them, so Frankie's learned the old technique of getting your revenge in first.

I remember being in the stand during a comedy festival in Glasgow, the acts that were good were really good, the ones that weren’t barely survived the stage. We really don’t take any prisoners - hell, even my group chats are full of us ripping the absolute arse out of each other, it’s a way of showing affections to those we care about - the more I rip the piss the more I love you…..my poor husband 😂😂

One of, if not, the best British comedians. If you can find the the Queer Eye For The Straight Guy joke he did on Mock The Week, that one got me laughing so hard!

It's quite amazing really, to see the difference in our humors. When Americans hear our jokes, it is literally like "how tf do they get away with that, it's offensive" 🤣 Very interesting to me lol. Love the reaction!

I'm Swedish and I soo wish to go to one of his shows just so that I can sit in the front row and confuse the shit out of him by talking Swedish when he inevitably starts talking to me 🤣

He's Scottish, roasting seats at a show is nowt, we can start a fight in an empty room. His outrage comedy is great to watch people lose their minds over

Frankie is an example of how we in Scotland have evolved to deal with hardship. We kick back at the world.

Right. I think we, as followers of JT, should start a collection to bring him over here and buy him a ticket for the front row of a Frankie Boyle gig, and tell Frankie Boyle beforehand. JT, the condition is you are NOT to shave off that beard.
