Lyrics:
I'm layin' awake at night
I can't get you out of my mind
All I can hear is my heart beat
And a voice in the dark of some kind
Where are you now
The fears are comin' back to me once again
Oh, I wish you were here
Takin' good care of me
I want you
I feel as though I'm out in the cold
Out in the cold
Hear me calling
Cold
Out in the cold
Please rescue me
I know it was you I hurt
I didn't mean to hurt you
So much to forgive and forget
Can't take anymore of this hurt
On no, Oh no
There's so many things I regret
Where are you now
The fears are comin' back to me once again
Oh, I wish you were here
Takin' good care of me
I want you
I feel as though I'm out in the cold
Shut me out
Out in the cold
Where are you now
Hear me calling
I need you I'm so cold
Can't you hear my heart beat
Out in the cold
Please rescue me
Give me a chance baby
There's nothing I wouldn't do to make it alright
Just for one more chance baby
I need all your lovin' tonight
Where are you now
The fears are comin' back to me once again
Oh, I wish you were here
Takin' good care of me
I want you
I feel as though I'm out in the cold
Shut me out
Out in the cold
Where are you now
Hear me calling
I need you I'm so cold
Can't you hear my heart beat
Out in the cold
Please rescue me
Why don't you rescue me
Cold
Shut me out
Out in the cold
Where are you now
Hear me calling
I need you I'm so cold
Can't you hear my heart beat
Out in the cold
Please rescue me
Why don't you rescue me
I'm so cold
Shut me out
Out in the cold
Where are you now
Hear me calling
I need you I'm so cold
Can't you hear my heart beat
Out in the cold
Please rescue me

This was PURE GENIUS. Open the show with a slow song, have the lead vocal start off stage and have the singer slowly ascend into sight. Instead of the usual "hit you over the head" barn burner opener they opted for a slow build. Genius. I'm so glad I grew up in this era of musicianship and stagecraft

Genius ??? Behave yourself. Apply that word to The Beatles, Frank Zappa, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, to name but a few. This is simply rock-by-numbers, nothing more. That's not to say that I don't like it. But I do know the difference.

Summer of '86. 18 years old. Just graduated high school, about to leave for the army (which would occupy the next 24 years). I remember hearing JP for the first time. I was about 16 and a friend gave me an 8-track tape of "Hell Bent for Leather." She didn't like it and I plugged it into my car stereo. That was a defining moment of my life because I heard the real metal sound that rock was missing. Dating myself but I've been a hardcore fan ever since. Over time they have evolved their sound but always remained true to the genre. Respect to all other fans of JP as well.

I was at the Albuquerque show, which was the opening show of the tour. Rob was bigger than life, and when he finally appeared on stage, the crowd lost it....you could hardly hear the music. It was electric.....I was 15 at the time, and to this day, I still get goose bumps thinking of that moment. I had a similar experience when I took my then 13 year old daughter to her first Iron Maiden show, which was the Book of Souls tour. It wasn't her first concert, but it was her first Maiden show, and we had excellent seats, about 7 rows back. For those of you who saw that tour, you will recall how Bruce was at the back of the stage, above the drum kit, hood on, dry ice smoke everywhere. When he pulled his hood off, my daughter grabbed me by the arm, and with tears in her eyes just said "Its Bruce....I can't believe it's actually Bruce!!" I remembered that moment when Rob stepped out on stage back in '86.

Now that's a power ballad! Even a slower Judas Priest song hits fucking hard in concert. I remember the Hampton Coliseum concert of this tour when Rob Halford had to patiently tell the intense fans to back up a few steps for a real fear of the stage front to collapse. Once finally solved, the concert was yet another impressive and loud concert. The word "epic" honestly describes Judas Priest concerts.

I still get a chill all these years later when the place goes ballistic on the opening chords and when Rob finally appears. Just phenomenal!!! They were great back then when they’d open a show (like this one) with a new track and usually blowing right into another new one. They’ve ALWAYS have done it right!!!
