"If you don't have enough salt in it, too bad." From Julia's mouth to our ears...Classic.😂😂

When you watch Jacques cooking today, he'll talk about Julia from time to time with a smile. Makes these episodes so special... "Julia would say, taste it..... taste it again!" LOL

I like her comment about an asbestos mouth…….lol. Things are very hot when it comes off the stove or fresh out of the oven.

Unfortunately, by today's standards of cleaning up that is probably very true, we as a Nation still do not have safe buildings to work.😢

I've referred to this video so many times. Mainly for the French onion and potato leek soup. One of the most underrated videos on KZfaq ever

I couldn't love these two more. I've learned more about cooking from watching them (& Julia's solo shows) in the past few weeks than I have watching YEARS of other cooking shows that taught me nothing. I can't believe I'm so late to the Julia bandwagon. She is such a delight, totally hilarious and REAL (Jacques too). So happy that I found these episodes. They are the absolute best. I laugh out loud every time.

You are so right. I loved Julia's shows, and I'm grateful that these videos are now available. I have the companion book to this series, autographed by Julia, but not by Jacques.

@@annier6835 You'll see this person on KZfaq in Julia's, Jacques, and Lidia Bastianich's videos. His name is stndrds and a bunch of numbers. He's very rude and completely and totally blind to his behavior.

Amazing that Julia even in older age could still cook so well and remember so much of what she learned, cooking must be pure instinct after so long.
@katvtayАй бұрын
It’s cool that Chef Jacques is now in his late 80s, as Chef Julia was when they filmed this series, and he’s also continued to make great cooking videos. Pure instinct for the greats like them, so true.

In ALL of the many videos of Jacques and Julia they make it sooooo easy for the home cook, especially making easy meals for my family…soooo love them all and grateful to have them to watch and at my fingertips in the kitchen to repeat while making sooo many of their recipes, and yet still giving room for my own little twists. For example I loathe cauliflower, but I saw I could use broccoli…love these shows

Julia is so right with “…it’s the principle…” You can convert nearly any recipe with almost any protein, and as long as you’re preserving the idea and the “principles” you’re going to have a wonderful result, guaranteed.

Not just because she’s six feet tall, but Julia must have a walk-in freezer at home, because she’s always saying how “this can be frozen,” sometimes with things I’d never consider freezing (not just because of my freezer’s size limitations... but some of the ingredients she says can be frozen, from sautéed onions to profiteroles)
