June Flower Container Tour

Жыл бұрынHi everyone. Susie here from Minnesota, zone 4b. Most of the plants in my containers were either started from seed this year, or cuttings from Coleus. I hand water all my containers and there is a slow release fertilizer in all of them. I did buy a few, but very happy I grew most of these this year, due to insane plant costs. The large marigold container is my favorite! So bright and cheerful! I also love the Trinity blue & Burgundy petunia container - beautiful color combo! You come up with such unique & beautiful plant combinations for containers! Well done!

i always harvest all my seeds from marigolds, zins, snaps, gazania, periwinkles, milkweed, indian blankets...last year I got a lot of seeds for a penny a packet at the end of the season at Dollar General. I have a huge potager garden. I also got veggies....love your cute lil garden ( I hope you are using rubber mulch the regular invites termites)

Wow absolutely beautiful! You have the best containers! I LOVE that Coleus you have out front! I love your baskets this year around the dog fence! Loving all the color! 😍 Everything looks great! I use Marigolds every year the French ones that are red orange in my front border, paired with blue Victoria Salvia!

Your containers are gorgeous. I love that coleus you grew from seeds in those first containers you showed. It is so beautiful. Your marigolds are wonderful in that big fence like container. You have grown so many gorgeous plants from seed. I loved seeing your containers. Love and blessings❤️❤️❤️

Hi Susie, I just planted Pinky Swear Corms. the advertisement photo looks a lot different from the ones that popped up for you though your trailer and pots all together are beautiful. My fairly new obsession is containers. Love your videos. Your garden is so beautiful and inspirational.

Wow! Beautiful containers are they all in clay pots? My verbena I started from seed has done great I will try planting more from seeds especially marigolds my store bought ones haven’t done to good Hot here in Texas 🥵

Most of my plants are in Terra Cotta pots. It does require a little more watering when it's hot, but the plants do really good in them. Some are in plastic, but not many. The ones in the front are plastic, because I put winter greens in them and they can take the freezing temps. Thanks for watching.

When did you plant your caladium corms? I received my order on 6/1 (also in MN), planted some on 6/4 and some this weekend. No action yet on mine. I usually start them indoors but that is a lot of work and near impossible to avoid the fungus gnats so I was excited to hear last year that you planted yours out directly. Have you ever done a red, white and blue container with only salvia? I bet that would be really cool. Salvia is one of my favorites too. I am so impressed with everything you started from seed! And I agree that marigolds are underrated 😊

I got mine the last week in May, so I think it has been 2 to 3 weeks since I planted them. I plant the corms 1 - 2 inches below soil. They can take a bit, but with the temps we are getting, it shouldn't be too long. Thanks for watching.

Sorry if I missed it but could you you let me know all the petunia varieties you grew from seed. I did the silene sibella carmine because of you. It’s starting to bloom. Love everything about that plant!

Love that wide, shallow container. Most containers are too deep especially for annuals and you lose potting soil.
