Not surprised, this is a guy who puts his heart and soul into his job and it's going to take its toll on you eventually and I was expecting him to leave last year as he looked a bit exhausted, this guy needs and deserves a year off to recover before his next job where we all know, he will put his heart and soul into that and hopefully do well because he's different class, all the best.

The near quadruple then the total collapse the following season. That was the straw that broke the camels back. Pushing at full pace pouring all his energy into motivating players, only for them to get burned out competing with better financed squads like Man City.

I know this isn’t about any other manager, but it shows how fecking good Sir Alex was to do it for 26 years at the top of the table. Jurgen wants a rest as he is knackered. He’s been here 9 years, it’s unreal the stress these guys must go through to keep the side at the top of their game. Other managers can bounce around for 25 years but they don’t have the desire to be at the top like these Elite managers have. Unreal innings for Jurgen turned Liverpool from what Man Utd is now to the top 3 side in world football. 👏🏼.

Funny how you say that but chelsea bought 11 players in a transfer window and still couldn't compete with Liverpool. Just accept pep has the superior tactics and actually improves all his players. Other than haaland and gvardiol who were the only guaranteed world class players, his signings were only decently rated before pep bought them and elevated them and he let them go if they weren't satisfied. Of course there's been flops but we sold other players like Zinchenko, Jesus, Sterling, Cole palmer to make up for the cost

@@visalvimal6968 don't be soft. Liverpool constantly push City to the last day. Whatever you think of Liverpool they're the only team to actually drag City into a proper scrap. I know people think Arsenal were in a title race last season but they weren't. If Liverpool didn't go completely AWOL last season then City probably don't win the treble just because of how hard they're pushed. They literally won't even get challenged now.

Klopp is exhausted because he is expected to turn water into wine every season. FSG are too greedy to give him some funds to bolster the squad and so he has had enough and fair play to him. Liverpool is going to be waiting a very long time for another title challenge after this year.

Liverpool will miss him a lot, someone who has basically turned them around in the last few seasons. The club will need to get a manager who has a similar philosophy and somebody who can connect with the players. Xabi Alonso is untested at this level and plays a different style and Gerrard is nowhere near good enough. I think Ange Postecoglu would have been a great fit...

If he doesn't take the Germany job, then I'd love to see him manage in Italy. Not the big 3 of Italy, but a Fiorentina, a Roma, an Atalanta, etc. He would definitely re-energise any of those clubs and make them contenders.
