Did you even actually watch this? Sad to say but he did not play a lick of guitar in this video or any of the others they have released lately. Video is 5:46 long and Glenn had a total of 19 seconds of screen time and 3 of those seconds were him walking in the door, and his right hand is purposefully hidden throughout and he only touched the strings 5 times to "chug-chug-chug-chug-chug" the E string , and the rest was very quick cuts of his left hand just holding the neck and not playing at all.

I saw Judas Priest in 1975 just about the time that their first album”Rocka Rolla” came out. They were an unknown band and only about 50 people turned up so we all stood between the front row seats and the stage. They were very loud and I was blown away by what I was seeing and hearing. I’m pleased to hear that they are still making great music and it looks like the original line up which is quite a feat.

My mum took me to see Judas Priest on the British Steel tour in 1980 when I was 11. It was my first ever gig. To this day I still have a soft spot for them despite metal not being my preferred genre of music. The guitarists were great at doing that dual guitar thing and Rob Halford is just a legend! When this sing first started I thought it was going to have a similar vibe to Iron Maiden’s “The Mercenary” because of the similar open string arpeggios and the main guitar riff having a similar melody to Bruce Dickinsons vocals of “Show them no fear, show them no pain.” Then when the verse began and the music strips down and I thought “Wow! Thats so reminiscent of something off Rocka Rolla or Sad Wings Of Destiny”. Then the arrangement of the intro riff supporting the chorus vocals and guitar solo brings the whole thing to resolve into a moment of enlightenment for the listener. Song writing at its finest. I saw Judas Priest live in Birmingham a few weeks ago and this song is amazing live.

A Flying V, with a set of Dirty Fingers pickups, is the ultimate rock guitar. Love the “Paul Gilbert” glasses! To think we wouldn’t have accepted them on the NHS, back in the 60’s/70’s (yes, they were standard issue, together with Doc Martin’s to correct foot issues).

Get a V. It was actually introduced as a special order novelty guitar by Gibson before it became a mainstream model. The original order was for a red Indian novelty band. The guitar was supposed to look like arrows.

Fuck yes to getting the V! I can’t think of a player who it would be more appropriate for.

Halford is not only a legend but also a model human being. Glad to see JP still leading the pack for quality metal.

It's annoying how you are a good looking and well spoken to the point of realization that life is not fair (at least until we all die and impossibility of taken anything with us once we are dead...)

I still think the drum sound on Take On The World is one of the greatest ever recorded and its 46 years old

I was fortunate to see the BRITISH STEEL anniversary tour back in 09. I was at band practice, all the other guys in the band were quite a bit younger than me, the guitarist says, " Anyone here like Judas Priest? My sister gave me tickets, but I dont really know them..." Well now. Lets say we go for a ride. I grew up on Priest and Maiden and Ozzy and the GODS of the 80's. They were outstanding. Prior to that show, the most professional " shit together" synchronized, powerhouse heavy metal performance I had ever witnessed was SLAYER in concert. SLAYER made no bones about the influence and impact of PRIEST on their whole existence, I witnessed the truth of this. JUDAS PRIEST are a well oiled metal machine.
