They are known to have developed Judeo-Malayalam, a dialect of Malayalam language.

The Israel govt. should start a consulate office at Trivandrum/Kochi. It will also help the 1000s of the Holy Land tour pilgrims from Kerala.There were Jews in Kollam and it is mentioned in the Tharissappally chepped of 849 AD. The Jewish merchant guild "Anchuvannam" is mentioned in that copper plate. The copper plate also has Hebrew signatures. Hope the Israel embassy at Delhi will take interest in the research on the now disappeared Jewish community of Kollam.

@@sankarie3687 Their descendants could have migrated from Kollam to Northern Travancore areas such as Chendamangalam, North Paravur etc and then finally to their homeland, Israel around 1948 when Israel became an independent Jewish nation ! There is no trace of Jews at present anywhere in southern Kerala especially around Kollam town area where they used to live. So it means they have all disappeared from the scene over a period ! Similar migration happened with the Nazrani community of Kollam of the Tharissapally chepped fame . This was due to the war between Venad (or later Cheras) with Pandyas and the Cholas ! These Nazranies were in the military of the local Venad king and hence Pandyas and the Cholas went after them and hence the families had to migrate to other safer areas in and around Kollam town around the 10th century itself !
