The K31 is my favorite Mil Surplus Rifle in my collection. It is also the easiest to master and more accurate than any other rifle I own with original GP11 Ammo. Mine also has user it was issued to under the butt plate and is all serial numbers matching, including the bayonet.

I have one as well, they are such a joy to own and shoot with. I need to reload for it as GP11 is very scarce in Australia. Cheers fellow K31 owner 😁

@@MrConspark Not sure if it available in Australia but Prvi Partisan, PPU, makes 7.5 Swiss in both a FMJ and Soft Point for hunting. Its modern non corrosive ammo and both bullets are 174 Grains. If you are using your K31 for hunting the 174 Grain Soft Point is plenty accurate. The FMJ shoots well but does not hold as tight a group as original GP11 Swiss Surplus Ammo.

What an interesting clip design
@no-legjohnny36919 ай бұрын
Yeah, its design is a holdover from the very first design version of this series of rifle designed all the way back in 1889 called the Schmidt-Rubin, which aside from a larger magazine, longer barrel, and different sights was practically identical to the K31. The bullets were sealed with wax so there were concerns about it collecting dirt and jamming up the gun with grime, so they fixed it by making the clip cover the front end and the waxed bullet.
