Picked it up couple weeks ago, shot it and it shoots 1-2" groups with Yugo ammo. Only matching parts I could find were the stock/handguard, trigger group, band spring, follower, sights, trigger guard, and maybe the follower spring. Bore is dark but strong rifling.

The trigger guard on this rifle was mde by Steyr WaA 77 is the Steyr plant. I just picked up a Romanian Capture dou 44 with mostly correct parts.

Very informative! I now know the one i have is also a romanian capture. 1944 dot sn. 9276. I wonder if your rifle is late 43 and mine is a early 44 and they were made right next to one another. All matching except bolt is several different numbers. All the same things going on. Your rifle almost looks identical except mine has no pitting and a little more bluing. Under the butplate bs-30

Collectors don't like the Romanian capture rifles but they're probably better shooters. Most of them were rebarreled and the Russian ones were not.

I have a BCD 43 in the exact same shape. Waffenamts peened out, original finish, all matching except for bolt and safety. 99% sure its a Romanian Capture.
