Kanye is bipolar and this didn't probably help his mental health. But it wasn't Pete's fault. It's really difficult to live with it... this and his mum's death changed him and he had his most insane episodes("I'mma let you finish Taylor but Beyoncé..."). He should have some medical help. Kim didn't want a divorce but Kanye doesn't listen to other people's needs. I think that Kim gave him chances(there were some real wtf moments and they stayed together but I totally gets how it's too much. I hope he'll seek help, so he can focus on making music&raising his kids. I admire Pete, not many famous people talk about their mental health issues. My ex husband had BPD and all the signs of a manic episode is showing with Kanye. He’s not taking meds which makes the manic episodes last longer. He’ll eventually come down and then go silent once he realize how bad he’s f’d up things. It’s sad to see. And I doubt there’s anyone around him that he respects and will listen to. it's really sad, but I also think that Kanye is dangerous, and unfortunately I think Kim realized this fact long before the divorce. after years of silence about Kanye's mental health, Kim finally spoke to the public about Kanye and his bipolar disorder after he told crowds of people on his presidential campaign trail that he wanted to abort their daughter North. Of course, Kim could not keep their daughter North from finding out that her dad Kanye was telling crowds of people that he wanted to abort her on national tv. I can't even imagine how North (and Kim) must have felt. at that point, Kim released a couple of statements, and in one of them, she mentioned that she scoured the country for the best possible care for Kanye and even set everything up so that he could receive ongoing professional treatment from the best on the road or from home, and Kanye refused all treatment no matter how much work Kim put in to accommodate Kanye's feelings or lifestyle. Kim said she would spend months getting him in with top mental health professionals, and Kanye would just get angry and go off on another tirade. Kim finally gave up because she gave all that she had to give to get Kanye help, and I don't blame her. Kanye doesn't just suffer from bipolar disorder, I think it's clear that he's also a narcissist (with or without a manic episode) and Kanye just truly will not get help. and, as you say, now that Kim is not there to at least try to keep him grounded, we're seeing the results. I hope Kim is beefing up their security and staying safe. she's completely right to keep the children from Kanye when he's this far off the rails and refusing reality and treatment.

I have bipolar and I'm sure its sometimes a lot for my husband and kids to deal with, but I stay on top of treatment and health. Try to make sure I don't take my struggles out in unhealthy ways. He's embarrassing and giving bipolar a worse name. He's very privileged that he had a partner willing to set all that up and the money to afford top notch, schedule accommodating care!!!! And he turns it down!!!! Celeb life doesn't seem good for bipolar to begin with, let alone untreated.

@@wmdkitty oh, absolutely not and I am not saying so. Not taking his meds (where prescribed), or entering treatment is absolutely crucial and only once person can do that - himself. What I am saying is that this high he's riding is one he has lost himself in and now the only coming out is if someone gets through to him or he finally crash lands off this peak. That's why it's so crucial to seek treatment and medicate where appropriate. Being bipolar carries serious responsibility to maintain our mental health so that we don't hurt ourselves or others with our actions in the event we fall into destructive behaviors. I'm simply explaining some of what it's possible he's experiencing in a manic episode. Whether people like it or not, the episode does come with a lack of self awareness for the vast majority and so he may not even feel like anything is his fault, even if his current state is what's running the chaos. Also, this doesn't excuse or negate his other abusive behaviors - these are ALL things he has to take responsibility for. He is carrying a burden, no doubt, but it is the opposite of a free pass. He is actually suffering! Mental illness doesn’t care who you are, how much money you have, how famous you are… Why do you think so many rich celebrities still die by suicide? Money doesn’t change how your mind works. Money can’t make you see that you need to get help. Only a strong support system can help you to see that and even then it takes time to see it yourself and feel ready to get help. Unless someone gets admitted to a mental facility you can’t force them. Even a strong support system can’t save many.
