Marcia Lucas would never lower herself to work for KK. But her influence and editing of the OT cannot be overstated. I have no doubt she could produce something well above the current standard.

Though I agree with you that she had some deep-seated hatred towards lucas, my God this seems like the most convoluted revenge plot to go through to try and destroy lucas and his works, while simultaneously destroying her reputation. Say what you want about George Lucas , the fandom knows that he has nothing to do with the current crap coming out, and that no matter what she does, it doesn't tarnish his name nor his original work.

It’s my third favourite JP film, funnily enough. But it always annoyed me that the Spinosaurus turns up, kills 2 people, kills the T-Rex then disappears until almost the end of the movie. Only to get its nose stuck in a fence, and then set itself on fire. Killing the T-Rex and changing the poster was a bold and unexpected move, but I felt they then under-utilised their new Dinosaur. If the rumours about Indy are true… yes, unforgivable.

G’day mate, I’ve had a few people disagree with me on Rogue One, all with valid points. I personally really enjoyed it, although the evidence of fan service and cash grabbery is strong with that film. When I say that it was left “relatively unscathed” I mean that despite studio meddling the end product was consistent with the works of Lucas, and it felt like Star Wars, it also didn’t split the fandom. On Gina, you are not alone. I was disgusted with Lucasfilm’s treatment of her, particularly in the same week where they were celebrating women in film (see KK’s “fade in” Oscars video). I know many folk who boycotted D+ after she was fired and refuse to watch anything new as a result. Where it not for their extensive back catalogue, I reckon D+ would be in serious trouble (mind you Disney’s stocks aren’t looking too great at the moment anyway). On Edwards, yes so I heard. The film was meant to be a Vietnam war style film, you can see evidence of the darker tone in the early trailers (most of the scenes not making the Final Cut). I wish we’d seen that film, alas studio meddling stuck again. In any rate it serves as the start point for KK’s “creative differences” axe. I’ve reached the level of apathetic fan myself, which is a terrible shame as I lived and breathed Star Wars as a wee jellybub. I’d like to say there is still hope … but I guess time will tell.

The ending of The Last Crusade was damn near perfect. I personally thought 4 was fine, but unnecessary.

@@workingjellyfish Yea. I love "Ghostbusters" and the RGB animated series. But I didn't. even bother with the women takeover of 2016. Though the 2021 "Ghostbusters Afterlife" was great.
