For people who complain about the size, do they not realize what Liliput refers to?

Not everyone read Jonathan Swift :P

Expectation is always a dangerous territory to enter, Belle - & the human race are masters of same - we never learn, irrespective of the literary reference....enough said.... :)

Absolutely love your videos. I got this little brass gem last month... Very busy hospice worker here. This fits so perfectly in my pocket...

Looks lovely! It looks like it would be a really nice smooth, cool, pen to hold in the hand. I can't believe I never tried refilling used up cartridges before!! I use the convertor cartridges, filling them with a sort of plastic squeezy thing (can't remember the name now haha) but I find they hardly hold any ink compared to the cartridges. I will have to have a go! Thanks for sharing! ❤

I just got the blue stonewashed rollerball pen. I have large hands but the pen feels nice with the cap on it. It fits great in your jeans pocket or in a journal with a pocket holder clip. I like the twist part of the pen and it is just the right weight...not too light or heavy. I might buy a fountain pen next. Many other brands of ink cartridges and other refills work with Kaweco.

Oh I love Kaweco! I use mine for weekends away or traveling, when I don't want to carry a whole bottle of ink with me - ut I preffer the rechargable ones. And as a tip from me - you don't need to push the cartrige in by hand just use the force when you twist the body back on the nib =) Likewise with the standart Lamy Fountainpens.

Ink syringes are soo good. My pen life was completely changed when I started being able to a) refill my cartridges and b) be able to fill my converters completely!!!
@GirlandQuill4 жыл бұрын
Justus Castillo It was one of those purchases where I thought, “why didn’t I get them earlier?”. Now the ink possibilities are endless. :)

Is there anything special about "ink" syringes? I have some syringes that look very similar to those that I've seen marketed specifically as ink syringes, but have a hunch that it's just marketing. Can anyone speak to this?
@justusspace4 жыл бұрын
Astronaut FX The only difference is that syringes typically used for ink have a blunt bevel rather than a sharp bevel :-)

My Eco takes just 1.25 turns to open. This pen has a smaller diameter though, so 3 turns sounds good for added stability I would think. I've tried a pen similar to this one, the travelers company brand, but my hands kept slipping down (and I didn't like smelling like bullets 😅) so I had to return it. Anyway, congrats on your new perdy toy. And sorry for your loss 💜

rhapsodyinblue I was able to test the TN fountain pen since a friend had one and it holds very similarly, though I think this one is a bit heavier. And thank you.

I have the Kaweco Brass Sport. I bought it with the medium nib and you’re right; it’s smooth. I write with it in a Hobonichi Techo so i wanted to try a finer nib because i find that when I write in it with my TWSBI Eco with a fine nib, my handwriting is a little easier to read. I replaced it with an EF nib which I don’t like all too much. I’m going to try a Fine nib and hope for the best. If I don’t like it, I will put the medium nib in. The Brass Sport is the pen I like to carry with me in the pen loop of the Chic Sparrow TN I keep the Hobonichi planner in. Overall, I do like medium nibs for writing in bigger journals. Anyway, nice video.

Two years later, I’m interested in buying a liliput with a fine nib. Did you try Kaweco’s F nib? How is it? Could you compare it to Lamy Safari’s F nib?
@TommyLane Жыл бұрын
@@Lorenna1234 The only Lamy fountain pens I have are medium nib. I like the Kaweco medium nibs. I find the fine nibs too scratchy for my taste. I’ve tried the extra fine and the fine nibs but went back to the mediums and stayed with them.
@Lorenna1234 Жыл бұрын

Never used a fountain pen before, is it scratchy? also how does it compare to the Lamy Safari in terms of smoothness?

Just FYI to the viewers...Kaweco makes a squeeze converter for the Liliput. Not heresay, I actually have one in mine. Sure, the capacity is low, but personally I prefer it to refilling spent, disposable cartridges. Outstanding EDC pen. And the brass patina is always an excellent conversation piece...
@Teufelchenhair3 жыл бұрын
There is a squeeze converter available for this pen. Maybe you want to check it out. It works pretty well in my one.

I really liked your review. I'm planning to buy exactly the same pen. How has it worked for you so far?
@GirlandQuill4 жыл бұрын
It’s worked out well so far. I do have to be a bit more selective of what paper I use, because Kaweco nibs are so finnicky. This is no exception to that, and I find paper with a bit more texture takes the nib better. But overall, it’s a beautiful piece and is developing a nice patina.
