Finally I’ve found someone like minded ! I used to say 21 but I think 25. When I turned 25 I feel like things clicked into place. The way I think now feels different than a couple years ago. I’m unable to explain it. I’ve seen others try to explain the same but it’s relatable. Consent laws are going to be tricky now since you’d be telling someone that at 18 you’re not able to consent to having sex, but at 12 you’re able to make life altering decisions on changing your gender (prolonged use of cross-hormones can cause sterilization). 18 is a fine age and if a 20 year old wants to date an older person, that’s their decision whether we agree with it or not

It was about other things like drinking, enlisting and such. I think some of these age restrictions need to be revised. They were made long long ago. Things have changed since and we know more about biology. Specifically the human brain that is fully formed in the mid twenties. Besides that I think it just makes good sense to adjust these laws. It shouldn’t be a one age fits all. Each should have its own age restriction.

We were friends for years and hung out very regularly. My naive ass just thought I must be so mature that he just enjoys hanging out, I often had older friends, but NOPE.
