Comparing standard velocity ammo to subsonic. Firing through carbine and Glock 19 for demonstration purposes.
In the video I refer to the suppressor model as the “Zeus” but I was incorrect it’s called “Nemesis”
In the carbine is the MCARBO upgrade kit including aluminum trigger and trigger guard.
MCARBO recoil buffer installed inside the buffer tube which cushions the bolt hitting the rear of the shoulder stock and reducing felt recoil.

Thank you for those shots in the dirt. I'm going to check out that suppressor for sure. Really modular. I get some of that powder spit back at me to with my octane 9. Really do need eye pro when shooting suppressed.

👍🏼 Thanks for viewing. If you have any ideas or requests for videos let me know. When I get some time over the Christmas vacation I will do a video on the Thompson Center Contender, which is the original 45/.410 pistol. It’s convertible to shoot just about any caliber. I will also shoot .22 and .30-.30 with it as well.

I enjoyed the video. I am picking up my Sub 2k hopefully next week when it comes into my dealer. I’m really stoked! I also have a Rugged Obsidian about to come out of jail for it as well. I also noticed you have a Gen2 G19. If that’s the case, would you be interested in parting with it? 😃

Thanks for watching. I’m definitely keeping my G19. Bought it in 1988. In my opinion Gen 2 is the best model

Impressed with the build but the Gen III is out by the time I seen this & I've already got my hands on one. That's one LON-N-NG suppressor on that.., kinda defeats "truck gun" definition and I don't understand why so many feel the need for one on a close-range cartridge (not to mention the cost involved to be "allowed" to posess).

Yes… the Gen 3 fixes all the issues from the old models so you don’t need to spend extra money for upgrades.

Would be good for home def, no?

@@mikem.2078IMO it would be a good home defense gun. Although if I were to buy another I would rather have a Ruger PC carbine. I think it’s better quality than Kel-tec. And it still uses Glock magazines. 👍🏼

@@mikem.2078 I'm in agreement with Luv2Huvr. It would suffice quite well with defensive ammo. I'd also recommend those bullpup shotguns out there now (loaded with #4 buckshot). ~$250 - $350 And if you're in the market for spending what the Ruger folding PCC would cost you, give FOXTROT MIKE a look. They've got the FM9 in differing lengths (loving my 5" mini) and they are ALL metal. They too use Glock magazines.

@@Luv2Huvr Yes, I briefly held a PC Carbine at a store a month back, certainly a little heavier, but also a sense of more quality. I believe it takes down at the midsection making it also decent for travel purposes.

The speeds vary greatly with various ammo. However you should see about a 25% increase across the board but as high as 40%. Throw some Underwood extreme penetrator 90 grain solid copper in a sub2k your pushing over 1,800 a second and hitting about as hard as a .44 magnum with 30 rounds glock mag and with a lot more accuracy.

Jonathan, I wonder what you would get with the 70 grain Federal irt green box, or Liberty 50 grain. You have a chrono by chance?

Does “Suppressed” ammo really just mean it’s slower, and heavier, that’s all? They don’t have any other special manufacturing techniques or anything?
@Luv2Huvr

Correct. However there is usually a note on the box saying, “subsonic tested out of a 4” barrel” A 16” carbine barrel may increase the velocity by 15%. I did not chronograph the different brands of ammo but I need to get one for comparison purposes on video. So what is labeled as subsonic out of a pistol may not be subsonic out of a carbine or rifle length barrel. This is evident if you watch and listen to video I made on comparing quiet 9mm ammo. The Mag Tech ammo that was labeled subsonic on the box was not subsonic out of my Sub 2000 and a loud crack can be heard.

@@Luv2Huvr I look forward to some day when I move to a free state. Getting a silencer for 9 mm, as well as 22LR, will be my biggest expectations. I believe your silencer will be especially good for (and appreciated by) any other family members, as well as pets of all sizes, in the case of home defense. The pets especially, huh?

@@mikem.2078Using a suppressor to teach someone first learning how to shoot a pistol is a great help. No earmuffs required. No loud report from the muzzle. I moved to AL from NY in 2003 after being furloughed by the Airlines. Life is more enjoyable with freedoms and the ability to protect yourself & family. Being a 90 minute drive from some of the best white sand beaches on the Gulf of Mexico is a plus. And I have never shoveled snow since I moved here!

Large commercial suppressor manufacturers are good but look and see if you have any local machine shops in your area where you can get personalized service and more likely the ability to try out different cans on your firearms. That’s what I did with my local shop here in AL. (C&S Custom Machine)
